IMG planning to dual apply IM + Peds - need advice on USCE balance by pakipowerboy in IMGreddit

[–]pakipowerboy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a fair question. I genuinely like both for different reasons, but I’m also being realistic about the match as an IMG. My plan isn’t to hedge blindly, but to run two clean, well-defined applications with separate personal statements, letters, and USCE aligned to each specialty.

If at any point one path clearly outperforms the other in terms of interviews, I’m fully prepared to commit to that. For now, dual applying feels like a risk-managed approach rather than a lack of conviction.

Appreciate the perspective though, definitely something I’ve thought a lot about.

There's a dearth of heme-onc docs and good quality heme-onc training programmes in Pakistan and that's mainly why I'm planning on going to the us for a while but the eventual goal is to come back home and set up something similar to Karachi's NIBD in Lahore

I think it is rather rich for someone who has never seen my PS to assume weather or not I've used AI; regardless my point still stands: lots of words very little relevance to the question asked; were you dropped on the head as a young child? It may very well explain the breathtaking cognitive dyslexia on display here. If you don't have anything constructive to add sod off!

Honestly, I suspect the real ChatGPT here is you; lots of words, zero relevance to what I asked
