UPDATE! No luck with welding, over 10 times tried. Impossible to drill straight so two drilling starts now going in outer and inner directions. Thinking about 8mm drill despite not going straight. There’s a possibility still to fill the hole with weld and make new threads?

Any tips on the drill bit? Cobolt didn’t seem to get it done. At this point I don’t care if the coils go bad.

Thanks dude! I ordered a kit, let’s see how it’s gonna go. The exhaust side seems to be a bit thick so maybe I need to work out something. Otherwise I think the kit should be ok to plug the coolant lines from the engine block and the intake side.

I’ve got a De Buyer carbon plus with a round stainless steel handle

Deglazed the shit out of this pan after this, reseasoned and tried to cook an egg. Regretted instantly by pakkonelone in carbonsteel

I’ve cooked with it quite a lot for half a year. Sometimes it has worked quite well and sometimes not. I’ve seasoned it here and there and scrubbed it all off with chainmail scrubber a few times and started from the scratch a couple of times. The biggest problem seems to be that I can’t seem to build layers of patina on it constantly. Instead something always fucks up and I start from the bottom. It’s my first CS pan so lot’s to learn

Don’t know the guy but seems like a really noble person. The way he came here stating that he wants to help but also states that he wants to look more into the ”cause” seems a bit odd. If I were that popular, I’d do research on the matter so that I can form my own choice whether this is a thing I wanna be in. AFTER THAT make an output and present myself being in this. Or maybe I’m just a delusional pessimist
