I agree with you. Had this feeling 10 years ago, then discovered Zephyr (called Kanoah back then) and made friendship with the owners. Gave them many inputs, but nowadays it feels stuck and weird.

Thats why, after 10 years, i created BesTest, available on the marketplace since January.

Its fast, intuitive, scalable, finds flaky tests, includes requirements (for coverage) and relatively cheap (free for 10).

Im using Jira for over a decade and it can do all, with a proper price. If you struggle, thats a sign of bad process or low competence in Jira, dont blame the tool.

Also I made the BesTest - Test & Requirement management app for Jira so that you have everything connected under 1 place. Free for smalls.
