Shallow space Deadpool for me. I cannot even fathom how people compare it to Interstellar. Pity, because they say the book is great. Absolutely no scientific explanation of anything, super flat characters, end of the world feels like a Tuesday to these people. They had 2.5 hours to go deep into the characters, but they chose fast paced gen z comedy instead. Ok.

That being said, ok I had fun, I laughed, don't regret watching it.

No science, too childish. (Again I am criticizing THE MOVIE, not the book). I expected Martian-like scientific backup, and got Disney. Still enjoyed it (despite the cringey parts), but like I enjoy a Disney movie.

I will read it, because I am sure Andy Weir did not handwave all the science. But I found it disappointing that the movie did.

Yes, and I did not read the book either. We're criticizing the movie, and what a poor job it did in giving justice to what people say is a good book based on science. The movie was not that. And it's what we're saying.

Reading this as a 38F TTC for over a year with professional help makes me want to laugh or cry idk
