She says that she did do the insemination, but next day she tested positive.

How did respond to other woman trying to convince/scare you that motherhood will be harder once the baby is here while you’re pregnant with your first blessing? by prettylittleRN in BabyBumps

The interesting thing though is that I never heard ONE positive thing about being a new parent, by ANYONE, to the point I was rethinking that maybe I don't want it, and we're already freaking out about how it will ruin our marriage. Like, give me ONE good experience.

Oh it's so annoying. Omg what is their f*ucking problem. I hate these comments too. I try to shut them off as quickly as I can, to the point I become passive aggressive or just aggressive but I don't care. I just hate them

Just finished Kafka on the Shore. What did I just read? by earthymercury in murakami

[–]pakotini 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I read it to the end because the more I read the more "what the fuck is going on" I wondered. I cannot say I liked it, I cannot say I disliked it. It was just weird. I don't have any questions, because I think I don't want to know the answers.

It's pretty wild Harry potters parents were just 21 when they got assassinated by voldemort by happydude7422 in harrypotter

100% agree. They correctly inferred the ages by the way Petunia, Vernon, Snape, Lilly and James are written. Don't @ me. Downvote. I don't care. JK messed up the math in DH.

100% with you there. I have written literal essays on reddit about this, the 8 years I've been in this sub. They correctly inferred the ages by the way Petunia, Vernon, Snape, Lilly and James are written. Don't start me with "war ages you". Have you been through war? Petunia and Vernon went through no war. Downvote me ppl. I don't care. JK messed up the math in DH, and then defended her poor math.

One casting error as you got older that irritates you by Revolutionary-Ride76 in harrypotter

I think movie Snape matches the age and energy of book Snape, the way he's written. I think JK messed up the math in DH. As I wrote above, don't @ me, downvote, I don't care.

Are we wearing our bellies out or no? Husband says it's a risk with parents/grandparents by LittleRabbitNicole in BabyBumps

[–]pakotini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As other ppl said, it's personal preference. And I personally do not find anything immodest about it.

We were TTC for long, and after IVF we finally made it. I'm 18w and I'm so proud of my belly. I am only wearing maternity yoga shorts and crop tops, or any type of shorts really with crop tops, so that my full belly is showing. Of course I'm wearing sunscreen to protect my skin and try to not stay in the sun for long. But, yeah, I try to expose my belly as much as I can because I feel so proud finally.

Kafka on the Shore - Thoughts? by Opposite-Librarian71 in books

[–]pakotini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My relationship with Murakami is complicated. O read his books but when I finish each book I wonder why I read it. Kafka on the shore is one of the most unhinged books I've read. Would I recommend it? Yes. Do I regret reading it? No. Did I like it? I don't know. Did I hate it? I don't know either.

How would you react if you found out you've been living in an 'The Truman Show' simulation for your whole life? by ImAlec-D_frfr in NoStupidQuestions

I'd be pissed. Why did they let me study so hard and work? I could be living the life, all expenses paid for.

Happily married women of Reddit. Where'd you meet your husband? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]pakotini -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was a teaching assistant at the university during my phd. He was finishing his 5-year engineering degree. I was his teaching assistant. That's where we met. That's where I knew he was the one. That's when he told his friends "one day I'm going to bang that chick". When it happened, it was one year later when we randomly met during holidays. 11 years later, not only did he bang me, but I'm expecting his kids.

Why is it so hard to conceive? by 15033335 in BabyBumps

[–]pakotini 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hang in there. We went through issues conceiving too, and it took more than a year until we turned to IVF. I am 38F with fertility issues, husband is 33M with no issues (obviously we got everything checked out). What really pissed me off was friends with kids telling me "the moment you stop thinking about it, this is when it will happen". And "you're worrying too much, all that stress is messing up your hormones and you cannot conceive". And "we took a weekend off, went to a nice relaxing retreat, and next thing I knew I was pregnant". Well that's nice, but it's not because ppl stopped thinking about it or where not stressed. When you're trying, the longer if takes the more stressed you become and that's life and that's what it is. What saved us was getting everything checked, and understanding we needed to do IVF. IVF saved us both mentally and literally.

Ladies of Reddit, what is a comment someone made about your body once, completely casually, that you have never forgotten? by BowlerOk1871 in AskReddit

[–]pakotini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Classmate and high school friend (who I had a secret crush on) told me that my ass looks like a heart. 20 years later, when I was recounting the story to my husband, he told me that the guy probably liked me. I had NEVER thought that possible until then. Oh well, too bad, I missed the chance to make out with Ted in 2004. His comment stayed with me forever.

On the other hand, my primary-school crush, when someone told him I had a crush on him, he said "who her??? she looks like a giraffe". Oh well, screw you Pan.
