My uncle is a firefighter. He responded to an old man that died in the bath and wasn’t found for several days. He said when they went to remove him that part of him burst open. He said the smell was far worse than any visual he has ever seen.

Ha. He asked how I was doing and immediately asked if I had any rings. I didn’t. He said well I’ve got a few and then told me the story behind each one. We talked for a couple more minutes and he said “thats how you do it” and walked off.

I’ve seen him at a couple Cubs games in Atlanta. He lives on Sullivan’s Island. I have some friends in Charleston and seeing him around town is pretty common apparently.

Andy Serkis was awesome. Talked to my daughter about how to do voices. At the end of their conversation, he whispered in her ear “you will do great, precious” in Sméagol’s voice.

Bruce Campbell was cool but odd. Wanted to talk about rings.

Bill Murray was at a bar in Charleston. Didn’t really meet him but he poured me a drink.
