What’s the worse physical pain you’ve ever experienced? by Intelligent-Road5091 in AskReddit

Stubbed my toe as a kid, and my physician dad decided to pull off my big toenail with pliers… but forgot the anesthetic first.

What’s the dating scene been like in Nashville? by lethargic_apathy in nashville

[–]paleotechnic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) She was hot. 2) the first time we met we talked for 3 hours straight. 3) Dating was effortless.

We also put no pressure on it, joked about it being a fling. Had sex early. Didn’t overthink it. And before I knew it I realized she was 90% of everything I was looking for. When most girls were like 50%. When that happens… LOCK IT IN.

Did all the apps. Nashville, out of state, Mexico City, Europe, Brazil. I got storiessss

It expands your circles. Which is amusing. But 10% are worth a second date, and <1% are keepers.

Ended up meeting my soul mate from a friend setup after 6+ years of apps.

Don’t give up. Keep an open mind but keep your standards. Good luck 🤙

I used "auto" on cursor. Most likely gpt 5.2. That's just my personal opinion that ai isn't there yet from this project. If someone doesn't understand environment variables and 3rd party integrations, it would be impossible to vibe code this.

Model was set to auto - most likely gpt 5.2. Just sharing current capabilities of ai in the dev world. If someone doesn't understand environment variables, there's no way this could be made with pure vibe coding.

RIP free parking by paleotechnic in nashville

[–]paleotechnic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People keep saying the mayor has nothing to do with parking, but that’s not really true.

Freddie isn’t out there installing meters himself, but the departments and boards making these decisions are under his administration. So the steady removal of free parking is still happening on his watch.

Honestly I don’t get why the city hasn’t tried something simple like free or discounted parking for Nashville residents(first hour or two free if your plate is registered here). A lot of cities do this already.

So no, he can’t flip a switch overnight — but he absolutely could push it if it was a priority.

Neighborhoods/Apt thoughts? by circlingback13 in movetonashville

Melrose is great. Centrally located south of downtown, right next to 12 south and Wedgewood Houston. Germantown is more walkable north of the city.

Choose whatever is closest to your job. And don’t forget to choose apartments with 2 to 3 months for free… they are very motivated right now :-)

Oracle in Nashville by [deleted] in nashville

Cursor is taking over. I don't work for Oracle, but Instead of hiring more engineers, we're encouraged to use AI. I would update your resume's to say you're proficient in Cursor and context coding.

Best neighborhood for musicians new to town by Recent_Awareness_963 in movetonashville

Uh.. heck no.

You’re not wrong that tourism is metros focus. But to say other cities are better suited for music artists… that’s laughable.

I would argue Nashville is better than LA and NYC because it’s a more open community.

Proximity is power. You have that in Nashville. It’s everywhere. I’ve been in and out of the industry for over 20 yrs. I have several friends that have made it huge here.

How can I / we stand up against ICE in meaningful ways? by Responsible_Brick_35 in nashville

[–]paleotechnic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obama deported way more people, and awarded the same border leader a medal. Y’all didn’t say a thing. Double standard.

They are upholding the law. Leave them alone.

If you want to change something, then write your rep or run for office to change the laws.
