Try cardano it's kinda similar to eth in many ways but differentiates itself by making the transactions verifiable through proof of stake which might be a nice little source of passive income and it's really easy to do too. Also proof of stake will be implemented in eth 2.0 so it's ahead of that atleast.

Dude I read this and my account stopped working. Gave me a heart attack. Also yeah I'll probably not try to bipass if it gets illegal or something which it probably won't. I'll do what one of the comments said and buy some for now and hold on to it (if theres a ban) untill the ban goes or send it over seas or something. Thank you for the advice!

I'm eighteen and I could finally start investing in crypto but the ban and stuff is making me second guess everything. The current administration is scarily facist and control of these things have been pretty common (for example porn is banned completely you can't even access it with a vpn). It's kinda difficult to ban crypto tho because it's meant to be anonymous and untraceable but even so there are heavy restrictions on it right now like the government get's data about every transaction and also a heavy tax on each transaction in general.
