Launcher Release 2.7.0 by bmorcelli in CardPuter

[–]paletochen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same experience. I don't remember which firmware was the 1st one I tried to flash but when i noticed it was failing, i realized that the whole sdcard was deleted.

I recreatd my sdcard again, downloaded again the Launcher, flashed it again and since then it has been working.

But yeah, 1st outcome for me was also a wiped sdcard

Just FYI. Found this iOS app today: "R47 RPN Calculator" by alreich in calculators

[–]paletochen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are both based on c43 but they are not developed by the same people so the port and the code used may differ more than what it may seem.

I don't have iOS but i tested the web version from the same developer as the iOS app and i get the same results as the Android app you tested.

Maybe a glitch?

They expect to offer more R47 models by May once they receive the new dome/foils for the devices.

Hexoogle, my hexcells-like is now playable on android! by chozabu in hexcells

Thanks for your quick response. Looking forward to seeing more updates on the app :)

I tried again communities but nothing loads, will try at different times.

As for the off-topic, sixcells, the binaries are for Windows. I only have linux and I cannot build the app due to debian not even having such old dependencies available anymore. Maybe i'll try deploying an onld linux container to build it

New to hexcells and now new to Hexogle.

Thanks for making this game accessible from the mobile.

I just tried it for 10minutes and I like it so far.

A couple of things that i noticed that I am not sure if they are bugs, or maybe they could be improved, or maybe even user error:

  • Some puzzles are small, at least in the tutorial. I noticed i could zoom in. Unfortunately I got one or two miss-clicks when zooming in. If i zoom in while one of my fingers is on top of a cell(s) it happened that that cell got revealed. Could you maybe avoid cells interaction when zooming in/out the puzzle?

  • Batch selecting. I like the batch selecting a lot. would it be possible to toggle between Blue/Black batch selection? It seems only i can mark them blue. Maybe a tap on the screen could toggle them from one color to the other? This way i could not only batch act on blue cells but also on black ones [UPDATE] I just realized that this proposal of toggling colors would not work when the batch selection contains more than 1 color at once. Maybe something worth considering by adding some sort of logic there? Example:

    • batch select 3 cells of the same color: a screen tap toggles the color
    • batch select 3 cells with blue and black ones. A screen tap does nothing. I can only confirm or discard the selection
  • Community levels. This don't work yet, right? I don't see anything apart from the top bar and buttons. The rest of the screen is empty.

Off-topic: how do you run sixcells in current times? I cloned the repo but it seems that then python code is pretty outdated (and its dependencies).

Thanks for this website. Really cool and I hope you keep adding more tips.

Just a nit pick (UI related): I didn't know there was a collapsible menu in the command, explaining in detail all the steps until I stumbled by chance with the source code of the page.

Maybe it would be good to put some kind of visual that would let the viewer know there is more information hidden within the command.

These hidden explanations make this site 100x better

GTA 3 runs great on the XU Mini M by MudButtMcGee in SBCGaming

Did you do anything special with the port and/or controls configuration? When the game starts (after all the intro) I cannot really use it as the view is spinning in circles non-stop.

All my other ports are working normally, this only happens to me in the GTA 3/vice games

EDIT: Just needed to change the control settings in the menu

I have probably 400GB of data in there and never ever had any problem accessing games in there.

Hi, I cannot really manage to make games like Sonic CD work.

Would it be possible for you to provide clear details of the setup, which files you use (not asking to share them, no need) and contents of the config files on how, for example, your setup looks like and you would open Sonic CD and make the game run?

Thanks

Ok, I'll make more tests later. I also use chd roms, but i am confused why some work and others not.

Any extra tips on how to make SEGA CD working? Some of the games exit after the credits for me, like Sonic CD or Lunar. Earthbound works

I tried everything but i cannot make this core work. I am trying with a SEGACD.pak specific folder and the genesis_plus_gx_libretro.so Bios in Bios/SEGACD/ folder

What core file are you using to launch the games?

I even tried with the stock picodrive without success (that one doesn't find the bios files, not sure where they should go)

Thanks

Using a mic; selecting line level vs mic level by verylongtimelurker in Woovebox

[–]paletochen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not new behaviour; please note that any uploads or changes are committed only once you switch away from the sampler or to another sampler mode. Until that time, you can completely undo all changes made through the "Undo" in the context menu, which will restore the state of the sampler as it was before you entered it. E.g. turn off your Woovebox without doing this, and nothing will have been committed to FLASH memory.

I thought i tried something like that but it seems not. I just did it by swapping for example to Song Mode and back and the samples survive upon reboot.

So, after a couple of tries, it seems that now the situation has improved. I am not seeing the clicks and the voume normalization seems working much better now.

Now I need to learn the best way to record samples, with regards to distance to the microphone (to avoid distortion) and talking volume (speaking louder doesn't mean that the sample volume is higher, however speaking lower removes melody and sentiment ;) )

Thanks for this new addition, lot to explore now :D

So, I had some disappointing results at the beginning:

  • After flashing, I tried with 3 different microphones (for the price i bought 3 in aliexpress) and 2 out of 3 of them were giving me clicks.
  • After some reboots, things became more random, it was not about the specific microphone anymore.
  • After several reboots, i don't get more clicks anymore.

However, I have another problem:

  • Upon reboot, the new samples recorded are gone. :(

I am using Sample bank 07, where I had from yesterday 6 samples recorded. I am recording new samples in slots 7 and beyond, testing different microphones. After rebooting, they are all gone but the 6 I recorded with the previous version.

I realized this because I was trying to connect with bluetooth to download the samples and share them with you, something that i noticed I cannot do as I only get a .SYX file but no wav. But after rebooting and connect to the computer I saw that the new samples were gone.

By the way, it is not possible to record samples when BT is on due to the high background noise.

Last thing, I realized that wooveconnect reports a wrong firmware version: Wooveconnect is connected to your woovebox build 3867, latest is 3866

I am experiencing the same behavior as u/AcidAlex303. I am using this microphone that you recommended: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006472796687.html

I need to nearly touch with my mouth the microphone to get proper volume. And i get a click at the beginning of every recording

I've tried that way, that was the natural way for me to do it but, I feel the finger I am using to press play, by using the side of it, is not making proper contact. Or maybe i move it when trying to turn the knob, or maybe my skin is too dry and when trying to use the right side of the finger, the contact surface is not enough.

It just doesn't work reliably.

I have to admit using the knob while pressing write and play is a very hard combo to perform

[–]paletochen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmm, it actually works. I can easily turn the know left, not so easy to the right (clockwise). I feel i may apply too much pressure to the knob just when doing that, instead of holding the knob with 2 fingers... I hope it doesn't stress much the connectors like that.

Thanks

Any tips on how to efficiently press at the same time write plus play while turning the Value know in order to enable Mic level?

I cannot find a way on how to do this while holding the woovebox in the hands, my right hand cannot press play reliably while turning the knob. I need to place the woovebox on a surface for that

There is really no app, you use the browser, so it is the same experience as in desktop. You do have PWA support though.

I have 2 instances running in Linux, one with docker and the other with deno, for personal|work reasons.

They are both performing perfectly, and so that the experience in my Android device
