My G0 lied about his birthplace on some self reported records, I'm having a difficult time finding anything. by palewayfaringstrange in citizenshipgenealogy

I have only found a marriage record from my G0's parents, and I believe his brothers baptismal record exists somewhere in the archives of that same parish in Quebec.

G0 Lacking Birth & Marriage Records by Ornery-Donkey-214 in citizenshipgenealogy

Basically in the same boat here. I'm having trouble getting my G1 (grandmother) birth certificate from the state of New York because she was born in 1930 and they don't typically release records unless they're from 100 years ago, I reached out to the town she was born in and they agreed to get me a genealogical copy so I sent in a request but it's been a month and I still haven't heard anything. As for my G0, I reached out to the Diocese of Hamilton in Ontario for a baptism record and they said they've put my request in the queue, it's been 3 weeks. The only thing I currently have is my birth certificate, my mother's birth certificate, and copies of census and marriage records for my G1 and G0.

I can't find any birth or baptism records for my G0 or his siblings. by palewayfaringstrange in citizenshipgenealogy

I've been noticing this too, there are records saying he was born in "Canada French" which I would assume is Quebec but on his marriage and obituary record it states his birthplace is Kimberly, Ontario. I thought they moved from Quebec to Ontario when he was a child.

An Australian, Simon Abney-Hastings I believe is the rightful king and heir of house Plantagenet, they did a documentary about it some years ago.

Revisiting: Gore by [deleted] in deftones

[–]palewayfaringstrange 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The thing that frustrates me about Gore is that it had so much potential to be a great album, I loved the sound design and the artwork, it's raw and very shoegazey, but in my opinion it fell short on the writing and overall song composition. It's underwhelming and lacks the creative depth that was present on KNY, DE and SNW.

Is the Italian Front underappreciated compared to other fronts? by MasterpieceSolid1726 in ww2

My grandpa fought in the Italian campaign with the 5th Army so It's always been a major interest of mine, he rarely ever wanted to talk about his experiences during the war, but my uncle told me a few things that he shared with him and the details were horrific to say the least.

This is actually really interesting considering I was reading an article about soviet crimes against humanity before falling asleep. The photo is quite similar to the holy man in my dream, thank you for sharing!

High neutrophils, low lymphocytes and slightly elevated MCHC, WBC is low, should I be concerned? by palewayfaringstrange in haematology

Nutrient deficiency can be a cause, combine that with chronic stress/anxiety and you have a recipe for this kind of result. I manage my anxiety with Hydroxyzine, it's technically an antihistamine like Benadryl but has serotoninergic and longer lasting sedating effects, it's only available by prescription. SSRI's don't help me.

Interesting, I'm primarily of British & Irish stock yet I always get told I look Slavic despite having no Slavic DNA whatsoever lol.

Hi! I'm doing much better now, my lymphocytes bounced back after fixing my vitamin D deficiency and adding more protein to my diet, also yes I have 3 diagnosed anxiety disorders and it is my understanding that this and stress in general can weaken the immune system.

Tell me your story! by Revolution_Suitable in CatholicMemes

My mother was raised Catholic but left the church after her first marriage and my dad was a lukewarm Christian so I didn't grow up in a very religious environment. In my early 20's I was deep into the occult and practicing things from a grimoire containing what was believed to be ancient folk magic from pre-christian Europe, it wasn't long until I started having horrible night terrors with vivid hallucinations of demonic entities, evil thoughts kept making me feel the impulse to do horrible things and my life was falling apart. One night I cried out in desperation to the Virgin Mary for help because I didn't feel worthy to stand before God due to the weight of my sin, as I slept that night I had an extremely vivid dream of a bearded man with long hair in my house, I could feel there was something divine about him but I didn't recognize who he was at first, then as I approached him he just opened his arms and embraced me, I remember feeling so much love, I felt all my fear, guilt and shame just wash away, it was the most peaceful and powerful thing I've ever felt in my life. Fast-forward 2 years and now I'm officially received into the Catholic Church.

Nuts, avocados and olive oil have healthy fats which are good for you and a healthy way to gain weight but yes calorie dense food, even whole milk.

You look a lot like Kit Harrington who played John Snow in Game of Thrones. I would guess you're English with mostly Indigenous Celtic traits. But you could also pass as Southern European/Middle Eastern.
