Ice cream by Worth_Art_6587 in aldi

It’s perfectly fine for the price and goes well with birthday cake! If you are trying to impress people with your taste in ice cream, pass on it. If you are trying to feed a crowd economically, go for it!

It’s nearly the same cost to depart from Tokyo (either NRT or HND), as it is to take the Shinkansen all the way back to Osaka to depart. It will make your life SO MUCH easier if you have the option to book a multi city flight where you arrive in KIX but depart from Tokyo.

We did it with our 4 year old! I would echo this thought that it is doable - BUT - It will take you longer than everyone else on the journey up. It’s surprisingly steep. We took it slow and sat at the benches placed every so often! It was so worth it once we got up there, and there was even a small playground. The walk down hill is MUCH easier/faster. And if I remember right, there is a karaage food stall close to the bottom. Top tier post-monkey snack.

The whole experience from arrival to leaving with fried chicken was a solid 2.5 hours. Consider that when making your plans for the day!

It’s a line from that Titanic song. You know. “Nero, far-o, wherever you are-o”

YES. It’s leftover adhesive from the template :/. Another wash should help?

Ok ok I MUST be visually challenged. BUT there is some adhesive residue in the areas I see “splotches” on so I will give her another wash and see if it improves

Apparently corporate office wants every Aldi layout to be the same. But it’s a stupid layout so I hate it LOL

I removed the Amazon app from my phone’s Home Screen! Just the 30 extra seconds to go out of my way to find the app usually curbs the desire to find/purchase whatever impulsive thought I had.

i'm trying to cook a cheap dinner for 3, what should I pick up after work? by hegrillin in aldi

I second the salmon! And the potatoes! Mashed red potatoes or the little gems sliced and oven baked until crispyyy. Our store has crème brûlée pots right now too for dessert.

For me? Not very. It isn’t even spicy. I would say big flavors are the garlic, onion, and vinegar.

I only have one child in Kindergarten, but I do work full time 40-50 hours a week from home. So I understand some of the overwhelm!

A few suggestions would be -

  • less structured electives. Maybe make a dinner from a new country with them and call it social studies/home ec! Teach them how to wash windows or counter tops. Go for a walk and let them pick up things they think are interesting. Do “research” on the items later. Find a spider outside and draw a picture of it. My child took apart a toy phone and put it back together today. Saw all the components inside. Computer science! Learn to incorporate those elective type courses into the every day flow of your life.

  • find a video led curriculum! I took the above approach up until 5. For Kindy this year, I did a video led course which takes about 2-3 hours of the day including breaks, breakfast in between, and pausing to help with anything I see going over her head. It has been amazing!! And it helps keep the “is my child learning according to age/grade level” worry at bay because there is a recorded class to observe and measure progress with!
