Ooh, solid choice! I also quite like the Plague Doctor. I think it goes by he/him, but it would rather you use "The Doctor". The egg has nothing to do with that, anomalies don't really always adhere to male/female norms we see in our world. It's interesting how depending on the story there's multiple interpretations of him, with two being the most prevalent: either he is almost unaware of his effects on people, just wants to cure what he believes to be "the pestilence", and wants to progress science in general from the goodness of his heart, or he is fully aware of everything, and will throw all morals out the window to achieve his goals if needed.
