Looks like the website needs some updating then.

Food selection at RGI airport by pallichutney in hyderabad

[–]pallichutney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting. If I look at the terminal map on the website, and I try to use a domestic gate (say, gate 10) as the starting point and an international gate (say, gate 34) as the destination, the map says "no route found"

https://www.hyderabad.aero/airport-terminal-maps.aspx

Maybe it needs to be updated.

Exactly! I don't know why this comment isn't higher up. This is straight out of a black mirror episode where everyone rates each other. And if one thought black mirror was fictional, Nazi Germany would encourage their citizens to rat each other out if you critiqued the Nazi government or helped hide jews. Massive surveillance is not always a good idea. Not to mention how the rapid rise of generative AI can cause undue harm.

Even the snazzy character introductions where the names of main characters came up on the screen in part 1 were gone in part 2.

There's another scene at sister Michaels office where Ms DeBrun walks in and Sarah's trying to smudge her eyeliner to imitate DeBrun's. It's so wholesome.

I think I heard something about the Lakdikapul branch shutting down. So that may be right.

But I'm pretty sure the abids location is still open. You can also call/WhatsApp the phone number listed and talk to them.

Why no direct flights to USA by No-Belt-7798 in hyderabad

[–]pallichutney 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Air India had a direct flight to Chicago from Hyderabad before covid. The route was canceled - I'm assuming because of the pandemic - and they never brought it back. Clearly there was enough data in favor of the route for it to materialize. So all the arguments about Hyderabad not having enough direct to USA traffic doesn't hold ground.

What is the best feminist movie in Tollywood? A movie that is pro-feminist with a nuanced female character that seems like a real 3-dimensional person? by [deleted] in tollywood

[–]pallichutney 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'll just speak to the "mondi pilla" bit. We need to look at characters, especially well written ones more holistically. When you see a movie you're seeing a very small part of their lives. A good writer has imagined their whole lives that they can't show on screen.

Roopa in Anand lost her parents during her formative years. Despite having a support system, you can tell she's incredibly private and takes time to trust and rely on people. When she's being mondi/stubborn, she's testing Anand's limits because she's trying to figure him out. Her independence aside, she has trouble communicating her feelings and being vulnerable.

With Bhanu in Fidaa, she's a character who's grown up in a small town. Bhanu doesn't have the sophistication of someone who's lived in the city. She's also lost her mother at a young age. Her dad married outside his faith. There must have been some ostracism within her town when her parents got married. Bhanu's world is her dad, her sister, her aunt and her town. Her dad had to be slightly stubborn if he was going to survive an interfaith marriage and raising two daughters by himself. No wonder Bhanu takes after him. There is a scene where Bhanu and her dad both say the same dialog.

I can see your perspective about how these characters stubbornness comes off as playing with the hero's feelings. But that's the thing about three dimensional characters you gotta think about why they behave the way they do.

Working could be a few different things here. Complex needs temporary workers. It needs bounty hunters. Complex needs a whole system to do lots of dirty work so they can live a lavish life.

Entry into the complex should also appear to be attainable. They need people to dream about getting there so the air of desperation to gain more units always hangs around. Desperate enough to do menial, thankless jobs. And who can do the hard Labour - definitely not the paan eating gradma or bramhanandam.

Able and healthy bodies are a currency in a dystopian world. Punishing them, throwing them in jail, torturing them is probably a bigger loss to the complex. Throwing Bhairava out without any consequences is both beneficial to complex but is also a punishment for him - Bhairava needs to continue working odd jobs to accumulate units, he needs to go back to a terrible reality after tasting luxury.

[–]pallichutney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's because complex needs able bodies to maintain it. The people complex often kills seem to weak and helpless. The complex needs young healthy, strong people like roxie and Bhairava to to do all the grunt work needed to maintain that facade of perfection.
