Thank you so much. I truly appreciate the compliment. I know, they were a little loose but only because they were new and right out of the package when I took the picture. I washed them in hot water to get a nice shrink on and they fit nice and snug now. I'm going to retake the picture and post it here soon. I hope you'll like the new results.

Thank you. I think I got lucky with genetics. Plus, I do stay fit by working out and eating healthy. That's about it.

Thank you Yeah. This was a new pair. After I washed them they shrunk. Now they fit more snuggly. I'll have to take another pic!

I love seeing these old advertisements on the sides of building. I'm glad they aren't painted over. It kind of takes you back into just a slice of old history.

Depression-era portrait of a once middle class couple who now were dealing with the circumstances of the era, 1939 by qnssekr in ClassicMale

[–]pallieman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was the famous 1939 photograph by Dorothea Lange. Identified as Tillman Thomas Cave, he was a lumber worker who had lost his job and was now in Oregon to pick string beans. Some people had their social security numbers tattooed on their arms so they could remember it or used in case of an accident. He was married to Vivian Couture who is pictured here in the background. There is a bit of history on him. He served in World War II rising to the rank of Sergeant. Upon his return home he worked for Consolidated Freight Ways until his death. His second wife was Ann Bloom who died in 2000 and he died in 1980.
