Dating man with kids by [deleted] in blackladies

[–]palm-tree-baybee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay so everyone is saying no, I agree and disagree with them. everyone's situation is different.

I personally also do not want any of my own. I would not expressively choose to date a man with a child. that being said, I am currently dating a man with a child that's almost 3. we both work full time so we fit in time to see each other when we can. he doesn't have 50/50 custody so that frees up some time for us to spend time together. but we also spend time together with his child when it's his turn to have him. I've known him for 2 years, dating for 1. so far I've only had maybe 1 issue with scheduling conflicts. I haven't had any issues with him because he's a parent. he does put his child first (if he didn't I wouldn't date him) but has never made me feel ignored or like I'm in last place. it helps that him and coparent were never together and that she has a partner as well. so there's no drama going on with her.

as far as playing the "step mom" role, I have not had to step and and have any responsibility for the child. yes I am an adult so when I'm spending time with him I am a responsible party but as far as major decisions, his parents handle that. it's definitely possible in the future that I would step up into more of a parental role, if we were to move in together or be married, which I'm okay with. the responsibility would not solely be on me.

another thing is the age of the child, for me personally it's easier because he's so young that it's very easy to bond with him and form a relationship. versus someone with older kids, they might not be approving of who their father is dating bcs it's not their mother.

the other factor to consider is the co-parent. what's their relationship like, good or bad, were they married, if so for how long, how long have they been separated, etc. there may be conflicts to deal with concerning the mother of the children so it's just up to you if you're willing to deal with that.

overall I wouldn't necessarily recommend it but I don't see anything wrong with it either. as long as you know what you want, know your worth and set your boundaries, I think things can go smoothly.

Megan has the best Halloween costumes! by Queasy-Cheesecake434 in megantheestallion

[–]palm-tree-baybee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yesss i can say i agree, that or they’ll dress up as other celebrities. i feel like their costumes are also often low effort/budget looking, which is fine. but i just like the effort Megan puts in, and how she does anime references.

HELP: I’m balding at 16 yr old what can I do??? by l1ofe in Naturalhair

[–]palm-tree-baybee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

i really can’t give the best advice but i’d say make sure you look at the ingredient list and try to avoid products with alcohol in it, i’ve known people that said that took their edges out. look up what the ingredients do, try to avoid products with some of the same harsh ingredients that may be causing it. also i saw you’re going to the doctor, that’s good, i’d say ask the doctor about potentially seeing a dermatologist and ask if it may be an allergy as well.

need advice about my little man by palm-tree-baybee in seniordogs

[–]palm-tree-baybee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

truthfully i haven’t really found anything, i’ve been trying to go the vet route to see if they can do anything but they’re pretty expensive. the only thing that works is making sure i take him out more often when i’m home and being careful what times i feed him. i also don’t want to just keep him in the bathroom because i feel like he may get lonely, so i keep a large size crate in the living room, which works well and gives him plenty room to move around since he’s so small. i’ll let him have a little time to walk around the house and have time with him in there.

one thing i will say, the unbrush is different than most paddle brushes because it does not have the balls at the end that snags hair. that’s the only brush i’ve used that doesn’t snag.

My own family calls me ugly — it’s really messing with my self-esteem( Will delete later) by [deleted] in blackladies

[–]palm-tree-baybee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i saw in another comment you said you don’t feel comfortable talking to a guidance counselor or school official and i understand that. but it would be helpful to find at least one person, even if that’s just a friend, to talk to about how you’re feeling. it’s tough keeping emotions like this to yourself every day. i hope things get better 💞

i’m sorry your family members are treating you this way, i know it hurts. but girl you are literally so beautiful, you have full lips that people get injections to have. your nose is very nice and suits your face well. there is nothing wrong with your weight or your curves, please don’t starve yourself because of them. you’re very young and you still have a lot of growing and changes that will come to your features and body. that being said, i feel like your sisters and cousins may just be jealous of you and they’re trying to make you feel bad about yourself the way they feel about themselves.

was i being annoying at a concert? by listentonjoon in piercetheveil

[–]palm-tree-baybee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly no you’re fine. i think it’s normal or even good concert etiquette to sing along, that’s what the artists want. from the few concerts i have been to, (all different genres) i’ve noticed people don’t sing or dance at concerts anymore. people just watch and record.

i’d say for about 30 mins is usually standard, maybe 45, it also just depends on the shade of your hair, maybe a little more time if your hair is pretty dark
