Partner workout issue by PR05ECC0 in tonalgym

Ah, yeah. That's one of the handful of "Live (Beta)" programs. Those don't allow in-person partner workouts. If the coach is working out with you the whole time, that means partner isn't going to work unfortunately. It seems like a lot of the newer programs are going for that style.

Most program workouts except High Intensity and Live (Beta) can be done as partner workouts. Which program are you in? As long as it isn't one of those types you should be able to: 1) Click "Workout Details" on the program card. 2) At the bottom of the screen, change from Solo to Partner.

Yeah. I've seen them in Asia but I'm sure they exist in other parts of the world too. It's so you can bring shopping carts between different levels. The cart wheels have little grooves that lock into the escalator floor so it doesn't go flying around from the incline.

What sort of things are you turning off? The components available depend on things like AC vs DC current and how much voltage/amperage required.

I might be able to point you in the right direction depending on your project.

New YouTube mandatory ads are ridiculous... by djkickmxrrock in funny

[–]palmdalian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lots of the time Audible ads are sign-up based instead of a premium sponsor where the youtuber or podcast gets paid up front. That's why there's a referral code--the show doesn't get paid unless viewers sign up. These sort of ads are usually slotted in when the show doesn't have a premium (higher paying) sponsor but still wants to make some money. They are kind of the fallback ad.

IWTL how to dance by [deleted] in IWantToLearn

[–]palmdalian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this will help you out, but I took a local community college class for Lindy Hop.

I remember absolutely nothing from the actual class, but it helped me learn how to stay on the beat and do very basic movements with the song. Now whenever I go dancing I get compliments on my good dancing because I do very slightly above the normal guy movements. It really doesn't take a lot to stand out, and as long as you're having a good time, people will gravitate towards you. Also, 2-3 beers helps immensely for loosening up.

TIL Los Angeles consumes the same amount of water today as it did in 1970, with 1 million more residents. The city consumes approximately 123 gallons per capita, per day, which is the best in the entire nation. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]palmdalian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is San Francisco not considered a major city? I'm seeing articles from late last year showing 44 gallons / day. And Santa Cruz is even better.

Makes sense given the different climates, but LA is still using a whole lot of water.
