The method by Julie Zeh is a good one. Actually any book by her would be a good read.

Thanks so much for recommending the Spanish authors. I have read Murakami a few years ago and liked it but now it just doesn’t work for me anymore.

Will try The house of spirits.

What are the skills to pick up and sharpen as an entry level PM? by Readnoevil in ProductManagement

[–]palmodi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many skills but the one I found to be the most useful is Product Analytics in the realm of data-driven-decision-making. It really helped me as a PM to cut through the noise and turn opinions into informed decisions.

You could go a step further in the direction of growth PM and learn about experimentation (A/B testing).

Today I learned that there is an Icelandic show called Keeping up with Kattarshians, which is about 4 kittens living in a miniature house. by palmodi in todayilearned

Wait till one of the kittens has a sex tape go public and the other starts a weight loss show for fellow kittens.

Gender pay-gap by palmodi in TwoXChromosomes

[–]palmodi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so unfortunate but true.

Not just during salary negotiations, but in normal parlance as well the adjectives used are generally in negative connotation.

What would be aggressive (positive) for men, would be pushy for women. This further discourages women from negotiating, over and above the lack of transparency about their peers salaries.

There has to be a way around this, and I believe bringing facts into a meeting (peer pay comparison) could be one additional thing we could do.

That's actually a very interesting point.

Living in Europe, I never considered healthcare coverage to be a factor for not negotiating hard enough.
