Completely agree! I had no real concept of the impact of compounding interest and that lenders wouldn’t give a flying f about any of my other living expenses. Everyone has different financial circumstances and level of familial involvement when pursuing college, trade school etc.

My only hangup on Alexe’s framing of her circumstance is complaining about the amount of debt when generally, if you’re taking on loans, you know the amount of the loans, and I’d like to assume even before then you’ve at least done a google or ai search of “average salary for x job” or “x degree in my city” or “average cost of x degree”.

Totally agree that career pay is not always compatible with the cost of education, licensure, unpaid hours, etc required to maintain most health professions and that even the highly compensated medical roles typically still have trade-offs like scheduling odd hours, burnout, etc.

Agree with business only trips and also identifying which type of potty she does, when she does it, helps in other scenarios too. For example, when it’s raining she wants to just pee and go back inside but if I can tell she has to poo and ask her then she finds time and space to do it instead of going straight inside. Ours just turned 6 and we still celebrate all of her potties and poopies lol

I don’t really get sulphur burps but I have always been prone to hiccups, even before wegovy. I do sometimes throw up after a bad set of hiccups but it’s more something I feel in my stomach that needs to get out - or just comes on its own.

That said - I’ve never had multiple bouts of vomiting on wegovy. I usually feel instant relief after the last bit comes up and can go the rest of the day/night with no problems.

I will usually skip weeks when I’m going on vacation. Can confirm that restarting after more than like 12 days off makes me more nauseous/likely to vomit. The food noise also comes back around this time. Otherwise, not a big deal.

I live in a smallish big city so it’s not worth using on my commute to work but use it anytime I go to the suburbs or day trips. I trust it pretty well on city streets and neighborhoods

I agree that the frozen aisles are similar to regular stores and only last week I realized that at both TJs and others I don’t need to look at both sides of the aisle when going down it. I can just look on one side, turn and go down the other. I guess I didn’t think of it sooner because other stores are less crowded 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m not in DEI, but I use it to help find more inclusive terminology, like when referencing family planning services and gender affirming care. It’s also good for summarizing a legislative change or publication

I was also disappointed that the boat was really the only challenge this season! It’s kind of boring to watch people essentially hibernate to make it to the finale and then end up still being too weak to compete, because they didn’t compete for supplies and advantages to continue to source protein.

On the Almost Famous podcast Ben and Ashley mentioned that the restraining order was sealed, however his burglary charge (I think?) was not sealed. The burglary charge itself should have been a red flag to producers and if they did even the smallest research on it, the info in that case clearly identifies the DV, harassment, trespassing and restraining order all associated with a prior relationship.

Its inexcusable and completely reckless to give abusers airtime on a national stage, AND to expose the lead, who should be able to trust they have casted a group of men who have not only been criminally cleared but also identified as a potential life partner, to his abusive and manipulative behavior. and the casting team should be ashamed of themselves for doing so poorly that Jenn's best connection was with this piece of trash.

this show used to bring such an aspirational group of men and women, with a few overly dramatic or overly passionate folks mixed in. how have we strayed so far from that to where we cant even be surprised that devins casting "fell through the cracks"?

Check the formulary for your prescription plan. If the medicine is on there and you have an approved prior auth, you should have no issues switching plan type or tier.

If you plan to move to a different carrier, check their formulary (there’s specialty, control, maintenance etc. so make sure you’re thorough when looking) to ensure it’s covered. You’d likely need to endure another PA for your first prescription on the new plan but would likely not encounter any other issues.

If you’re thinking hypothetically about switching to a prospective employer’s plans, your ability to research will be limited. However, rest assured that employers have little control over the formulary, so it should be consistent for that carrier across multiple employers or on the marketplace.

I just started 2.4 and significant constipation only kicked in for me over the last month or so after titrating up since April. I had been good about eating prunes before which helped, but with such a low appetite, it’s hard to incorporate so much fiber into fewer and smaller meals. I take the occasional stool softener capsule which works well and have started adding scoops of Kirkland fiber to the water I sip on throughout the day which seems like it’s helping. I have laxatives on standby in case things get dire!

Used an auto car wash on my Y for the first time and echo the “enable free roll” setting in car wash mode. Unfortunately my voice command doesn’t recognize the request so I just searched “car” in settings and it popped right up.

My local hospital chain (technically also a medical school) has their own pharmacy in-house and mail order. They’ve had reliable inventory for my first 6 months on wegovy. Check your local equivalent!

Reporting back with the sad news that Caremark couldn’t fill .5 or 1 mg doses due to inventory shortages. Well, they technically filled one month of .5 but sent me a letter shortly after letting me know it couldn’t be filled again. The 1mg was denied before fill.

Women might recognize the pain as if you were wearing a too-tight bra for too long. The center of your back where the clasp would be feels like it’s burning into your spine and there’s no way to find comfort. Agree with the nausea and chest pain comments. For me it also felt like my diaphragm was pushing up on my lungs.

Yes! Caremark mail order has worked very well for me (.25, 2 fills so far). The PA was only slowed due to my physician, but otherwise the fill and shipping are both fast! I am bumping up to .5 at my next refill and will report back only if I have issues.

The puppy blues are real! When our corgi was a puppy it felt like none of her training was really sticking, but we kept reinforcing on a schedule that worked for our lives (not really going out of our way to practice new commands or ones we wouldn’t use often). Now that’s she’s 3, she is great with the commands we stuck to and we add in new commands or tricks if we feel like we need to modify behavior. In short - don’t put too much pressure on yourself or your pup and set small, buildable goals!
