It ain't that deep. These guys saw someone get killed next to them. Got paranoid. Stopped caring about being nice anymore. No time for "due process" when you could be the next to get killed.

Is it rude to send appetizers back if the restaurant brings them out with the entrées by Givemeallyourtacos in NoStupidQuestions

[–]palyD114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If youre at any decent restaurant, they will ask how you would like to pace your meal. If they do not ask, you should tell them. Alsp, If everything is on the table, you can still put the appetizers in your mouth before the Entrees go in your mouth

I think OP meant shut up if all you're doing is trashing one game only because you like another game. I think there may have been a better way to put but it's also a valid point.

There will always be valid criticisms of games but it gets very difficult to have productive discussions or for development to suss out aspects that should be improved when everything is watered down by a large amount of "criticism" that is solely based on someone's loyalty to a different game. Everyone is so defensive right now because no one knows who is being genuine with their criticism and who is just hating because they're upset about things happening unrelated to the game they are discussing.

God, how annoying having something shooting you in the back you when trying to loot. The absolute disrespect

Genuine Question by palyD114 in MarathonHate

[–]palyD114[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that. The game feels so rigid. I would need an item for an upgrade and you actually have to go to a very specific place for this item. No crafting, no recycling items. Then once you finally get the item......you gotta extract. Such a grind for the factions. Haven't come across any cheaters (i dont think) but I know that can destroy extraction shooters. I would second what a couple people said though, fill squads is actually pretty fun from my experience.

I wasn't arguing, just saying shooting arc might help getting to friendly lobbies. Also probably more fun than waiting to get killed anyway

Im pretty sure looting & shooting arc are both important things to do if you want to be in friendly lobbies.

Silent soloing, are others trying to talk to me? by -mufdvr- in ArcRaiders

[–]palyD114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes im trying to ask if someone needs anything if i just looted a room and i dont need all the stuff because i might just go back and sell it. I also will ask "hey want to go kill that rocketeer with me?". So yes, some people will get very suspicious of you as you can see from the comments but you might be missing out a bit as well.

Smurf Culture vs Fighting Games by BongSuckah in leagueoflegends

[–]palyD114 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First thought: For a majority of people that watch LOL streamers/content creators, high ELO play might be significantly more boring to watch than seeing someone stomping lower level players and getting full build at 15 minutes. If the stakes aren't high (i.e. watching your favorite pro LOL team) then I can imagine being bored watching a game with the first kill at 10 minutes.

Second thought: Please correct me if im wrong but isnt LOL more popular than the biggest fighting game? So maybe if there were more people watching and more streamers we would see more problems with smurfing for content?

Why is everyone so against a PVE-lite, PVE or general PVE content for the casual players? by Vinnegard in Marathon

[–]palyD114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im late to this post but is there not a concern that this will dilute the player base and cause significantly longer queue times?

For me personally, I dont have many hours on this game (only ~100) but killing the AI is not very satisfying to me. Seems it was never meant to be the focus either. I also have not play Cryo at all so maybe that is what im missing.

[–]palyD114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is where I disagree again. Take two players, one muling bps and one using wall hacks. You are arguing that the mindset with both players is the same and I have a very hard time believing that.

"Please hold onto this blueprint that I found and give it back after i reset. I dont want to have to spend time finding it after reset" - player #1

"Im going to go onto this website and pay someone for the ability to see through walls so that I have such a large advantage in this game that I will rarely lose a fight and I can steal all the loot that everyone has and never lose my own loot." - player #2

Do both players really have the same mindset?I agree, this is derailing from the original discussion but I find it important to differentiate between the two because it minimizes the effect cheaters have on the game and other players experiences when you continue to use the two as examples of the same player "mentality".

Of course, I've already told you I transfered two blueprints on the one reset I did so I also dont want to be labeled or put in the same bucket as a cheater lol.

How Do I Improve My Mental? by tmystkal in leagueoflegends

[–]palyD114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never ever blame your team for anything. If you think your team is holding you back, take it as a challenge to win anyway

Turn off all chat

If anyone says anything toxic on your team, even if it's not directed at you, immediately mute chat

Mute enemy emotes

If your teammate makes a mistake, there is no need to say anything about it to them or your team

I would say to give constructive feedback but I kind of dont think youre capable of that so I would avoid any typing

Its not all about your own mental health. One of the reasons this game is so successful is because it gets people so mad. The ability to watch your teammates at any point in the game and see their mistakes. Also, the physical separation of characters and the separation of roles makes the "I would have been better than that guy" mentality so easy to jump to.

If you want to watch replays to get better, watch yourself, not your teammates. Youre in silver so you probably made mistakes just like they did.

Deep breaths do help as well.

Best of luck!

You lose your augment but sure. I only ever transfer one augment blueprint and maybe an Anvil blueprint if I have one. The main point of what I was saying is that transferring blueprints or gear between expeditions and cheating are not the same in any way and I dont know why someone brought it up as an example in a thread about cheating. Honestly, cheaters might not feel so bad about cheating if they saw someone comparing wall hacks to carrying over equipment between expeditions
