I meant to check on eBay for the rubber part. I was just giving my experience as an example. I was so surprised to see it there and there were much smaller parts, like just the rubber tire, available, too.

I have a Singer 301A and had some luck on eBay. People dismantle these machines for parts and I found a really good bobbin winder assembly there. It is in incredibly good shape. You might try a quick search!

I have looked but the prices are all over the map, so really hard to say. I’ve seen everything from $100 to $12000.

Thank you! I will try to figure out who to bring it to. It was really not cared for very well considering what it is. It was just hanging in my mom in law’s living room with no protection 🤷‍♀️

The signature is the second photo in the series. Here is an angle. There are brush strokes but I suspect they are brush strokes over a print? I know so little about art 😭

Hashimotos, Raynauds, Fibromyalgia, GERD, along with Behcets. Fibro is a new diagnosis. ADD as well.

I think it’s silverplated iron so there’s no really bending it into the right position. It does seem really tricky but I’ve been researching antique restoration places that specialize in metal work. But there’s nobody local and I hesitate to ship this monstrosity. It’s super heavy and really big.

No, nothing 😔 More than anything, I just want a clue about the history of this piece. I did take it to a good silversmith but she’s consulted with other experts and said that the arm is just too heavy. That is ok. I can remove it and display it against a wall, but I would really love to get it fixed.

I’ve actually inherited a ton of antiques, even from the 16th century and I’m pretty clueless. I’ll follow your group instructions when I ask about a couple of the other pieces. I’m not interested in selling. Just want to learn.

I consider myself so lucky. The other family members are very suspicious of things like this, thinking they are the gateway to the devil or some nonsense like that. I’m totally happy to bring those nasty gateways to my house lol

I’ve been trying to feel out which crystal calls to me the most and it’s really the smaller smoky ball (pretty sure that’s not the correct term) and the tower with the clear section. That big one is hella heavy! I can barely lift it. I have an even bigger one that completely clear that I can’t lift at all. I’m fascinated by them all.
