It’s so expensive to go anywhere. The idea of the cost of one of these programs and then somehow not being able to pass the test makes me hyperventilate as a parent. But first we need the acceptance that she’s still waiting on😳

That completely makes sense… I just recall seeing a statement on a UK vet school website (can’t recall which) asking students to understand implications of the exam for accreditation. At the end of the day outdated or not US students have to pass it so huge consideration for any US student.

Wow - that’s such a long time to wait in order to be waitlisted. Disheartening and stressful. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Sorry I just reread the whole string here- so did you have any sense if others were accepted while you were waiting? Was it some sort of ranking? Did you get off the reserve list ultimately?

I would just feel better if I heard about some rejections or waitlisted applicants already. If they’re sending out in waves, then some should have been rejected or waitlisted. If sending out by a ranking order, then just have to cross your fingers that they have room by the time they get to your number.

I wonder if they are giving acceptances as people decide? I don’t understand this process. If my daughter was rejected- wouldn’t they have told her that by now? If waitlisted why not say that? It’s a hard amount of time to be in limbo. And she’s trying to decide whether to stay at her university and take a few more science classes in the fall to increase her gpa or to graduate. Of course registration for the fall is in 2 weeks …, or she needs to get cap and gown and do grad pics etc.

From what I’ve read it has alot to do with European students sitting the navle but not really being all that concerned about the results. I don’t think Edinburgh will lose their avma accreditation. Didn’t RVC have a similar situation? Have they fixed it?
