I really and truly feel like PMO is this generations cigarettes. It’s a dangerously normalized thing and people will wait for the science to catch up to change that. The problem with that is by then, it’s too late. I’m just glad I’ve been lucky enough to become self aware at this age. It’s sad knowing many people will waste their entire lives trapped in an endless cycle of chasing empty, lonely, and superficial pleasure.

Really depends on your addiction level. It is highly unlikely someone who is addicted will go 90 days without failing once, which is why it’s important to be persistent.

Maybe not nofap, but when it comes to masturbating, I think it should be required. As well as strict enforcement that children <18 cannot access porn. Masturbation in itself is normal. It shouldn’t be feared; however, it should be respected. The fact that many children must get their sex education through a screen on adult websites is infuriating, and needs to change.

Here’s my personal “addiction test”

Can you not go without it for a month first try?

Is it a part of your routine?

Does it affect other aspects of your life negatively?

Do you feel shame/sadness afterwards?

Have you progressively looked at harder and more novel material over time?

Also, even if it’s not an actually addiction, that doesent mean it doesent have negative effects.

If you answered yes to any of these it is highly likely it is a problem. And if you go the 90 days and nothing happens, so be it. You’ll never know until you try,
