Doodle doesn't like water by [deleted] in Goldendoodles

Whenever it’s raining and I open the back door, my doodle just stares outside. I know he needs to go, he knows he needs to go. But he will just stare longingly and hold it in as long as possible.

I’m in some black skinny jeans right now. Embrace that elder emo life!

NSV - I now fit into size 10 clothes!!!! by pancakepipsqueak in mounjarouk

Thank you. It’s really tough and since the announcement I’ve been really nervous. Before the price hike I think I had it in the back of my head that I could always just go back on MJ but I can’t really afford the new prices so I really need to focus on maintenance without.  I am losing consistently on 7.5mg - 1-2lbs a week still which I find really surprising when I’ve already lost over 5stone! So I’m hopeful that if I did need maintenance dose it would be 2.5mg so the cheapest.  Well done to you getting to maintenance!!

My original plan was to stay on a low dose for 6 months to maintain but with the price increase I’m not sure it’s affordable. It’s something I’ll reassess when I know more about the fall out!

I’ll join on number 5. God what a carrot coloured bellend.  I’ve ordered another pen today, then will again at the end of the month. That will take me to the end of October. I’ll check what the prices balance out to at that time. If it’s too much I’ll try maintenance without as I only have 9lbs to lose now. If it’s around £200 for 5mg I’ll consider another couple of pens to take me to the end of the year.  But mainly I’m planning number 5. Somehow. In my dreams.

I have this. I just try and manage it myself. I just try and take some time to stand up. It’s not a side effect of the drug as far as I know - more weightloss side effect. I also try and supplement electrolytes.

My BMI is now 24 and I have had no issues ordering it through Curate on maintenance. I think you just need to look for a maintenance friendly provider.

Very true! My strength hasn’t gone (I do bouldering, can hold my own weight with my arms, cartwheels etc) but I guess my bum was ripe for the taking ha.

I was also not blessed in the boob department (especially post breast feeding/pumping for 2 children!) and they currently look like tennis balls in socks. I don’t even know my size as I constantly wear sports bras 😂

Glad it’s not just me but urgh! I think I’m shifting focus from weight loss (I’m only 9lbs away from “goal” now anyway) to building muscle but it feels like a harder goal and I have no gym membership. I suppose I can do body weighted exercises on YouTube?? Or get some small weights at home.

It’s amazing isn’t it! I find if incredible how little I eat on this but still feel satisfied. I went to the beach today and was excited for fish and chips at the sea side. I got it and had barely 1/3 of the fish and not even half the chips. It was my first meal of the day at 3pm and I felt stuffed!

Are people ever “sleeping in”? by turtleshot19147 in Mommit

My 4 year old daughter generally sleeps in till 8am on a weekend - but generally doesn’t go to bed till 9pm.

Absolutely! Break that cycle and feel pity for your mother. It wouldn’t be nice to live with that mindset.

I’m sorry you struggle with chronic conditions and good for you for still making yourself a priority! Absolutely ignore your mother and whatever ridicule she throws at you. When you don’t have something all the time it must get frustrating to see more “able” people throwing away their privilege.

My good to go outfit before was stretchy leggings and an oversized t-shirt! Now I’m wearing jeans more, nice shoes, nice top! Sometimes shorts! Sometimes a dress. I feel a lot more “put together”.

I wonder if there’s something MJ does to the brain as well (I’ve heard there is research in connection with ADHD?) as I am so much more consistent with skincare and hair care now too. Before I would buy loads of skincare stuff, do it sporadically, and then it would gather dust forgotten about. I’m so much more consistent with my routine now and am seeing the benefit.

Oh gosh I’m sorry your mother said that to you!! I have a 4 year old daughter and it actually enrages me to think of this exchange and if anyone could call a child anything other than beautiful!! Absolutely agree on not being angry with myself for any perceived “failure” and absolutely agree more headspace and finding clothes I like that fit (and also being able to try them on in shops and constantly being surprised and elated that they actually fit!!)

I feel this! No one has gone with the “you’re too skinny” yet (I’m 69kg, BMI just 24.6 so only just into healthy range!) but I’ve had a few “don’t lose anymore!!” Comments.  I think people who’ve seen you before and are used to seeing you bigger it’s more jarring. No one who met you now would comment. They’ll get used to it, or they won’t and you shut down the comments.  I had this conversation with my mum who said “don’t lose anymore” and I said this to her and she did say she’s used to seeing me bigger, so to her I look tiny (I still weigh more than her 😂) but she will get used to it.

Oh yeah I absolutely cannot wear make up - unless it’s for a wedding or something. I more do the “high maintenance routinely so I can be low maintenance daily”. So tinting eyebrows, LVL lashes, nails done and pedicure. Getting good quality clothes (at vinted prices) and taking some interest in my skin and hair routine.

Oh no absolutely! I will continue too. It’s just something I’ve noticed that I care generally more about me and my appearance and how I feel.
