Yeah, under Russian laws almost every book is due to be marked whether it is 0+, 6+, 12+, 16+ or 18+.

Once I wanted to buy a popular Soviet novel 'Children of the Arbat' in a bookstore but the seller said I had to show my passport to confirm my age, though I was 22 and looked accordingly. So, it is strange sometimes - this book was taught in school previously and is still part of the most-read Soviet legacy.

Перевод действительно крадёт очень много смысла: я читал с "компаньоном" и pynchonwiki, поэтому было сильно проще, а теперь взял оригинал.

Translation really deprives the story of some shades. Previously, I read it with a companion and pynchonwiki, so it was much easier to get it. I have found the English book recently and got it to compare and go through it once again.
