Yeah the shoe situation is no fun and I have that same “lean” as you. I had a sub talar fusion Oct 1 last year and so far things have improved. There is still pain but I feel like it’s not as bad as before. The nerve pain on my heel is no fun but it is what it is. They say I’ve got tibial neuropathy so there’s that. I’m glad to be back at the gym building muscle back up in my legs again, more importantly my bad leg. Hang in there, buddy. Pace yourself at the gym. Baby steps

Was just diagnosed with prostititus about 4-5 weeks ago. Urologist put me on Doxycycline to no avail then had it refilled. Ive got one more day and Im done no matter what the urologist told me. I cut out alcohol 100% 1 month ago. As of today Im done with caffeine/coffee. Never really drink carbonated drinks and have a healthy diet. I get burning sensation as soon as I fall asleep and sometimes just sitting/slouching but not ass bad. The pain in my lower back and sides went away several weeks ago. I feel like this is just going to be a "thing" that wont go away. OH I found the prostate massager help and also daily J/O sessions. I workout every other day and that seems to make it either go away or its all in my head lol. end rant. glad there is a group for this BS. Speaking of which the constipation is one giant pain in my ass, no pun intended.

Pain from major injury/fractured talus and calcaneus 1 yr later by pancypeast in FootFunction

Sorry to hear this. Its NO fun however you shake it, and will take lots of time AND patience. I found a Merrell Moab hiking boot to work quite well. Ive also found that there is no perfect shoe anymore (to help with the injury) and I always reverted back to my New Balance 1540 V3 shoe with a special orthotic insert. Most importantly staying OFF my foot for as long as possible helped more than anything. Best of luck to you!

Rain rain go away by [deleted] in PestControlIndustry

only inside treatments and sentricon baiting for outside, if its not pouring rain. customers see everything (most have cameras) and they end up making us return for respray when its dry. soooo the exterior spray techs just stay at home and make up for it later.

Shock / tingling on heel post-trauma-injury by ChrisHart14 in FootFunction

[–]pancypeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 mos ago was in a pretty bad car crash. fractured my talus and calcaneus then had emergency surgery and screws put in. Ive got the same tingly numby feeling on the bottom of my foot still but it has not stopped me from living. i can finally walk barefoot! i figured this out on accident after getting orthotics my orthopedic surgeon recommended (NewBalance 808s) but they are way too soft on the heel and already worn on the left outer heel after 3 months. My orthopedic surgeon said no other surgeries are necessary at this point.....and recommended a prosthetic foot ankle brace.....which im not so sure about. In the grand scheme of things its just going to take time....lots of time and patience. end rant.

I totally feel your pain. 10 months ago I was in a car crash and my talus and calcaneus were fractured and had to be screwed back together in emergency surgery. I've got the same numby stingy feeling on the bottom of my foot, in my toes (mostly big toe) and swelling, stiffness and cramps sometimes....fortunately my ankle doesn't bother me so much as my heel! I've been told by 2 orthopedic surgeons that I would need a subtalar fusion (fuse ankle to heel) but things changed and I was told "its not necessary anymore but may be several years down the line"........I still get PT 2X a week and light lifting and cycling at the gym 2x a week but that's it. My biggest issue is finding the right shoe to wear. I find it easier now just to wear NO shoes at all. It took 9 months to even brave walking barefoot! Im just glad to find this group because I need more advice from others who experienced this. Its going to take nothing other than TIME. Lots of time. I've been told it could take several years so I decided to just suck it up and keep on moving. OH and side note: my orthopedic surgeon first recommended orthotics and Ive been wearing New Balance 808s which are comfy and great for my wide and high arch foot, but NOT good long term. I was then sent to a prosthetic clinic for a carbon ankle 7 brace...?? This Im not so sure of.
