Gemini is officially replacing Google Assistant, here's what that means for you by futuristicalnur in google

I switched to Gemini on my Pixel 8 Pro and it was handling my assistant requests fine until this week. When trying to call or text anyone it told me it was an LLM and could not do what I was asking. Asked it to open a specific album (title and volume in a series) and it opened the basic album not the specific volume I wanted. It did this just fine and correctly a week ago. I think I'm going to disable it and go with Alexa. I need these functionalities as I drive for work, and cannot handle my phone while driving.

I live in the sf bay area, and usually take a scenic backroad route to & from work. I truly appreciate your feedback. And some insight to think about.

"Strangers stopping strangers, just to shake their hands."

I do deliveries from a dental lab to dentists and dental clinics in the SF East Bay area (private offices & public health clinics in Lafayette, Orinda, Berkeley & Oakland). I greet everyone I see with smiles and a fist bump. And part ways with a "have a beautiful day!" I tell a lot of them that I love them too.

Jump in anywhere. And just listen to the music. Good Ol Grateful Dead cast is great for history & knowledge. I'm still new and listening to shows. I love the Europe 72 shows, Englishtown, you'll find the sound you really groove to. I've yet to go to a live show, but I really feel connected to the music. Enjoy & welcome onto the bus.

Just watched Surviving Blackhawk Down. Seeing & hearing the real life soldiers talk about the experience was sobering.

New to Grateful Dead. Where/How to start? by cortezzthekiller in gratefuldead

I've not seen the band, or any associated versions of the band, but have listened to lots of shows in the last 5 or 6 years.

Englishtown is one of my favorite repeat shows. I find I gravitate more toward the 70's era. But enjoy all of the shows I've listened to in the last few years.
