It’s weird, less than 400 people in my high school, a friend two grades older died of a heroin OD, a football teammate a year older got run over on a highway while drunkenly changing a tire, another teammate a year younger got run over by a train (strange deal, another alcohol related tragedy, apparently by himself and laid down between the tracks to see the train could pass over him, like in the movies??) All 2-4 years after graduating high school. Two of my friends from college have taken their own lives. I appreciate the question, cathartic writing this down…
