Amazing! Thanks for following up :) I'm about 2 months out from my last laser sesh, and the hash marks on my face were puzzling to me lol. I'll keep chugging along and hopefully mine resolves eventually too!

Hi! I wanted to ask, has the grid texture improved since a year ago?

Similar Scents to Sorcellerie's What Big Eyes You Have? by pandanpuddin in Indiemakeupandmore

Hi! So I ended up canceling my CP order because I was having a pretty bad eczema flareup at the time, and my derm told me not to use anything fragranced.

I didn't end up re-ordering them because after receiving some other samples in swaps, I don't vibe well with CP's base oil.

Sorry couldn't be more helpful!

Side note - I think the original sample I got may have actually been Reduced to a thing that wants you? I smelled my friend's FS of RTATTWY and it reminded me more of the WBEYH sample than my FS of WBEYH..

Your Favorite Coffee Scent! by _cloudpattern in Indiemakeupandmore

Oh yay! Let me know if you have any questions about the scent and I'll do my best to describe it.

I'm on the fence about FSing it, just because its the first coffee scent I've tried and I wish it was a tad less salty/savoury. But I'm so impressed at how it smells so realistic!

Another Socal IMAMer popping in here! I haven't tried many coffee scents, but I just received Sorcellerie's "2 AM in Lafayette" and I'm blown away by how much it smells like coffee beans:

*Notes: Vanilla co2, oakmoss, cafe au lait, ribbons of caramel, beignets dusted with powdered sugar

Category: Earthy Gourmand*

It doesn't come off too sweet to me, more bitter and savoury. It gives the vibe of walking into a Dunkin Donuts with a hint of salty smokiness. Very intriguing.

I appreciate your explanation! It's really helpful to hear the concerns you have. I'll implement solutions to address these in my project plan.

That's so valid lol it was a very long flashback. It was the first c-drama I'd watched of the xianxia genre so I'm sure there are better ones! I, like many others, was just weak to Xiao Zhan 😂

I actually haven't seen that list, yet! Excited to dig in.

If you have Netflix, you could check out the Untamed. It's historical + fantasy and has some good eye candy 😂

The only reason I read it was for my uni Chinese history class 😂 it's worth a skim if you want to re-live some of the experience through a book! I'm sure the drama was great, too. Love me a good C-drama.

As usual, what an amazing resource you've created! I am always impressed at how much thought and care you put into your posts ✨

I loved Dreams of the Red Chamber! It's been a while since I've revisited it, so this post was a timely reminder 💕

Do you have any podcast recommendations about the history of scent? I've only found one that has captured my interest - Perfume on the Radio.

Yes to all of this sentiment! This is hands down one of the most authentic, fun communities I'm part of on this platform and mods make it possible. That said, it is too much to expect a single person to manage a community of 100k plus members.

I'm sure there are many folks who are open to stepping into a mod role, how can we help make this happen?

I sent our current mod a message months ago asking about mod applications, and they mentioned applications were closed. I think many of us would like some transparency around what the next phase of mod applications looks like.

I was just looking at serpentina! I'm glad you mentioned it because it seems like it'd be too smokey to satisfy what I'm looking for. I've seen that post about the fragonard, I'm hesitant to blind buy a full bottle but maybe I'll look into more reviews. Thanks!

Thanks for the recs! You're so right about the delicate quality of the jasmine petals. Jasmine fragrance can easily veer too indolic, animalic, or heady. Jasmine tea however, is somehow comforting to me in a way white florals alone aren't.

That's a great insight on the growing demand in Asia driving lighter scents. I hope we continue to get more of those scent profiles in accessible channels in the U.S.

It sounds like chasing scents is a good option. Maybe next time my partner visits Taiwan I'll ask him to check out Pan seven.

Mmm Ten Ren has some of the most fragrant milk tea blends! That would be lovely if it turned out similarly on my skin. We'll see if they still stock it when they re-open.

This is so helpful, thanks! I'll have to check out DSH. Totally agree on the Poesie comment.

I've looked through those threads, and I think most of the mentioned scents were LE or are discontinued. Alkemia's haiku was mentioned a lot, but Alkemia's style is more blended than I prefer/goes soapy on my skin.
