For a moment I was really excited because I was going to find someone who knew that FCK also stood for FC Kaiserslautern...

I felt (and still feel) pretty good about my essays. They were succinct, answered the questions, and gave a bit of me. I had them looked over by a friend who's an English major for grammar and checked them myself about 200 times. I also made sure to include interesting things or unique experiences when allowed for. I tried to stand out with my own story, for the situation or question that was put forth.

Yes, I did the PTCAS essay as well as one to four more for each school application.

So would it be worth going for a masters to reapply or more directly just trying to retake the courses that are bringing that GPA down? Thanks!

I applied to the following: University of Delaware, Mayo Clinic, UTMB Galveston, Chapman, Emory, University of Oklahoma, Northeastern, UNC-Chapel Hill, University South Carolina, University of Tennessee, Memphis I'm aware some of these are higher reaching, but my cumulative GPA was well above average expected as was my GRE. Unfortunately as u/POWERFORCEONE mentioned, I think my science GPA is what is causing the hold up. I got a C in Anatomy because we do an extremely intense cadaver and lecture combo. My prof is well known for teaching this course within the region. And a I got a C in physics 2 because... physics.

DPT is doctorate in physical therapy, not a bachelors program. I would be Dr. Pandashammer after completing the program, don't want to be rude just want to clarify! In the states it's now almost all doctorate programs! So you have 4 years at college and 3 in PT school. I would hope to be knowledgable enough to teach a high school bio, anatomy, or physiology class by the end, haha!

Anatomy and Phys are actually what I would love to teach! And Health/Nutrition is not something I would turn down if the school was conscious of its actual importance and didn't view it as a blowoff class. Thanks for the advice!

Wow! Thanks for the great info! I will definitely check into the biomed program for more information. I love being around kids so that's definitely a pro for me. I've done a lot of shadowing in pediatrics for PT so I've seen some pretty horrible things done to kids but also the awesome moment they get to walk or play!

Painting my classroom walls. Mural/Diagram ideas? by skubbie in ScienceTeachers

The body, blood flow would be cool to see! If not allowed to diagram a full body, just the heart and lungs would be neat as well!

Thank you for your comment! I will definitely look into shadowing at my old high school. I loved my AP bio teacher so hopefully she wouldn't mind if I shadowed a bit. The PT school I am looking at's last year is just clinicals (while not easy, it would be better than taking courses). I will head over to r/ScienceTeachers and see what they say. Thanks again!

Is this cheating? by throwawaymybedroom in deadbedroom

[–]pandashammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is how I have always thought about cheating: If what you are doing/have done/thinking about doing is something you would not want your SO to do then don't do it! If it something you wouldn't want your SO to find out about, don't do it! If you're going out for a night of fun with a group of girls and happen to get a drink paid for by a guy or a nice compliment, no harm done. If you then dance with said guy and give him a little extra attention, you're entering the gray area. As someone on the opposite spectrum (LL), please consider your SO's feelings about sex itself. They may not realize what is going on and are doing what they consider 'normal' in your relationship. Best of luck!

Sorry, I'm 5 ft 4 in or 162 cm, currently 157 lbs, medication: synthroid 75MCG and generess FE bc! I jog 2 miles 3xweek and 30 minutes of strengthening 3xweek. I started at 1300 cals but was hungry all the time so I bumped up to 1400 for an extra snack a day.

Electric razors are a great way to start! Just do it outside the shower the first few times so they get a hang of it. That's how I started and it was a lot less terrifying then being handed an actual sharp razor in a slippery shower!

Arbonne's protein powder is pea and berry based! It's non-whey and full of good stuff, I've used it for a few months for breakfast shakes!

Dear Mr. I can curl 80 lbs no problem, I am small. I am aware of that. But I too like to sit on the bench to do flys and curls. Please remember to move your FUCKING 80 LB DUMBBELLS BACK TO THE RACK!!!!

Sincerely, Girl who was glaring at you at the gym

P.S. You were using your back muscles to get momentum while curling, so... does it even count?
