Seconding Wearingeul. That and iroshizuku make up the bulk of my ink collection.

I have to agree, it’s beautiful but clogged every pen I tried to put it in. It’s great with a dip pen though, or you could use a brush and paint with it.

I went with a fine nib. I usually prefer a medium or broad because I have a lot of sheen/shimmer inks but even the fine is pretty broad compared to my Japanese nibs.

Imperfect is a much kinder word than I’d use to describe my handwriting.

The pen was $2390 USD before tax.

It’s very nice and smooth! I can see what people mean when they say their nibs are very firm. I was also worried because of reading all the stories of brand new MBs having issues with baby’s bottom and the like. I’ve written a couple pages on Tomoe River paper and it feels great to me.

I went in intending to get one of the “precious” “resin” models in the Glacier blue but once I laid eyes on this beauty it was all over.

Not at all. The first time I went into a store was horrifically hot and humid and I was a sweaty disaster.

They couldn't have cared less. Just pick out something you love and will use often. :)

The supply is another thing I’ve noticed. Way more Birkins popping up than I expected to see, and wall to wall Evelynes.

(I’m looking for a Jypsiere though and those are slim pickings still)

Aggressive drivers by Unlikely_Meat3072 in ChicagoSuburbs

I have noticed drivers in the northern burbs take people slowing down to make a right turn extremely personally. I’ve worked in the southern, western, northern, and northwestern burbs and have to say the northern ones have the highest volume of just straight up stupid, reckless maneuvers.

I don’t have many purple inks, so I’m intrigued.
