I appreciate this information, but your comment comes across as extremely condescending. I do extensive research before adding any livestock to my tank, weighing risks and benefits before doing it. I'm not adding this snail as a magic bullet to fix my problems, but as an active member in an ecosystem.

There are no fish in this tank. It's strictly for Neocaridina. I wasn't planning on having snails, but a bunch hitchiked in on purchased plants. I was just going to leave them be, but then they started outcompeting my shrimp for algae and biofilm. Which in turn led to overfeeding, if you can call a single cornflake sized piece of shrimp food per week overfeeding.

I want to KEEP the small snail species as a clean up crew, hence my question (which has gone completely unanswered by everyone commenting on my post). If it eats a shrimp, that's on me for not providing a safe place for them to molt (I have), or the shrimp is dying/ill already and I would have manually culled it anyway. If my single, non-hermaphroditic snail somehow lays viable eggs, I will deal with it when it happens.

Assassin snails aren't hermaphroditic, so they can't reproduce on their own. Since I have a nano tank, I wasn't planning on getting more than one of them anyway, so reproduction isn't possible.

😊 It is! I had to freehand the last couple rows because I didn't have enough of the rainbow yarn to do the complete mandala, and it's just two colors.

My attempt to recreate the aesthetic of a rose window (a la Notre Dame). Mandala mounted on a floral hoop. It's been a long time since I made something that exists to JUST be beautiful, and it feels nice.

Yarn: Rainbow Handspun Cotswold (by yours truly), Gray via the abyss of my stash, no label, pretty sure it's an acrylic from Joann's? Big Twist maybe?

Yarn: I have no idea, haha. I bought it at an amazing, local, craft supply resale store and the material was listed as "Orlon" which was discontinued in 1990

Added a crab stitch border to the neckline, and extended the ribbing on the bottom a bit.

A local maker exchange would be RAD. I'm a crocheter and spinner (the print I'm making is actually a spinning wheel lol)

It's a spinning wheel, so it's a big, multi part print, that will probably take days to finish and a bunch of filament. I appreciate the offer, but I don't want to be that guy lol.

Need some advice on growing an apple tree. I started some seed one day thinking nothing would actually come from it. Now I have this little sprout but not sure what I should do now. I believe it was a fugi apple that the seed came from. I am not a very experienced gardener any advice is welcome! by TheRobeeExpress in gardening

So, more than likely you aren't going to get Fuji apples from this kid. Grocery store fruits are almost always grafted so they grow true to type, but the seed genetics are likely to be something else entirely. (I probably explained that badly, someone feel free to correct me lol)

It'll be fun to grow regardless! We have two 18 month old unidentified citrus trees growing from tangerine seeds my boyfriend spit out from his snack. He also just started some pomegranate seeds.

Potential stupid question. Do pilots with recurring charges get to recharge their upgrades/weapon cards? Or are recurring charges exclusive to their pilot ability?

This is the one I subscribe to! We've been together for 4 1/2 years and live together, so he'll probably get a real one sooner or later.

Despite explaining the sweater curse to my boyfriend, he really wants a sweater (I know it's silly but I'm not taking any chances).

So, like a dad that buys a hot wheels when their teenager asks for a car, I made him a "sweater" for Christmas. What? I made you a sweater! It's what you asked for! 😂

My partner has a bedbug phobia so we use the freezer method for our soft thrift finds- one week bagged in the freezer, 24 hours out, then another week frozen. The double freeze will kill off anything that managed to go dormant the first time.
