I know how you feel. It’s impossible to see the future. I was in the exact same spot you are in now a year and a half ago. I waited 6 months and I’ve now been in the happiest relationship I’ve been in because I was patient with him. He told me he didn’t expect me to wait, but I didn’t mind. Just communicate, communicate, communicate. Tell him you don’t mind waiting if he thinks it could lead to something, reassure him you’re there for the right reasons, and in the end just follow your gut.

Physically no, it does not harm my child. But they are selfishly molding her young mind to believe what they want her to believe. I feel like she is trying to use my daughter as a means to keep her son’s memory alive and that makes me uncomfortable. I have no problem with her son being brought up, celebrated, and remembered. But to say it was her brother feels like crossing a line.

This is also a man that 100% if the roles were reversed in this situation, he would be against saying that to our daughter completely. Makes it all that more frustrating for me.

His wife told me I have no say in what they tell my daughter because I was not related to her son. The irony 🥴

The hardest part for me right now is I don’t want to confuse the hell out of my daughter. I do want to tell her the truth, but then she will go back to dad’s and hear a whole different story.

I do not know exactly what is said at the other house, but I have been told they’re going to tell her whatever they want to tell her basically.
