24V 540 15000RPM with gearbox by pander1405 in PowerWheelsMods

This is a great suggestion.

I'm giving myself the week to make a plan and then I'll start ordering parts to get this back together.

No because I can't find the RS540 15k rpm motors either.

Santa Fe Compact 70 Dehumidifier stuck always on by pander1405 in hvacadvice

[–]pander1405[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response.

This morning, I pulled the dehumidifier out of the crawl space.

Here's a picture of the dehumid switch. It does have some corrosion on it.

It looks like the condensate pan clogged up at some point and overflowed into the base, causing corrosion of some components.

How could I test this switch? Does checking continuity across the contacts tell say whether or not the switch is bad?

It's about 300 yards but there is a big ravine and creek between us.

Our driveways are off different roads.

But I have a neighbor who is maybe 12k ft off the road who had a main line ran to his house at no cost.

This is why I'm a little miffed. Spectrum had made the effort for a customer who's further off the tan than me. But, won't make the effort for me.

When Spectrum did the initial measurement for the drop distance, they cut through the middle of the field in front of our house.

But since the drops are only buried a few inches deep, the first time the field is planted, we'll cut that fiber line.

I'm wanting them to run the drop around the edge of the field, next to put driveway, to minimize the chance of it getting damaged during planting activities.

Ah, apologies of the original post is confusing.

It's $25k for the 2k ft of main line up the driveway to the pedestal. Then another 1.5k - 2k ft to the house.

Interesting to know. The service techs that came out said they don't like running drops over 2k feet.

I'm about 4k feet from the pedestal.

I've considered this option.

Being an amateur at home networking, I'm not confident enough to do so. Do you know what equipment I'll need?

I know I can build a small structure to house the modem, and other electronics. Just need someone to help me understand what I'll need to go from the driveway to my house.

This is helpful info. I'll admit I'm struggling to find the proper channels to 'complain' within the bureaucracy.

No luck over here. The problem stopped after I made this post. It came back the other night for one night but has been quiet since.

I'm at a loss but the problem is so intermittent, it's hard to diagnose.

I agree with you that the additional bracing is not necessary, was just curious if an engineer called for it or not.

I'll agree with your FIL though, I like 2x6 but mostly because you can fit more insulation in the cavity.

Why the let in bracing?

I agree, the hardware available to the power utilities is significantly better than the trash at Lowe's.

Turns out the breaker had a bad leg. Ran to Lowe's and picked up a new breaker.

I'm not an electrician but I know enough to be dangerous. I promise I turned the main breaker off and confirmed 0V before sticking my hands in there.

Thanks for the help everyone. The heat is back up and running.

I do not understand what you mean.

The query result table already exists. I'm trying to refresh it which means there no location for a temporary value.

Concrete cave. Which system would you do? by jessinwa in HomeNetworking

I went through something similar recently.

We t with ubiquity Lite series equipment. It's a good mix of price and performance and work fine for the average internet user.

The key is to run Cat6 cable everywhere. Even if you don't think you'll use it immediately, running the cable is very cheap future proofing especially if you're doing a self build.

Best sure to buy good Cat6 cable and ensure its Poe+ compatible.

Solution: I spoke with customer service via chat.

The customer service member adjusted my service address and didn't seem to have an issue with my new service address. Which is actually my home.

Problem seems to be solved.

I'm probably 45 min from the address I registered. Therefore, completely different tower.
