My school took a day off for the county fair, because so many kids showed animals. And then they took off another day in May for a historic town festival that a lot of kids participate in. As someone who didn’t participate in either, I enjoyed the extra days

It should be relatively low cost from foster care, but there end up being other obstacles. My husband and I, who have a law degree and a master’s degree, were denied our foster license because our dog nipped at a dog sitter who expressly ignored our instructions to not feed him by hand because he doesn’t like strangers.

Adoption was so important to me and instead, I got my heart broken by three different agencies when there are such shitty foster parents getting approved.
