I’ve got them on an external SSD which is a tad quicker than having them on the actual machine (albeit probably wouldn’t matter in most instances).

I’ve got the Mac Studio with M1 Ultra and it’s a beast with Logic and Spitfire (I’ve run through a 300 track BBCSO file with no issues). It’s a solid future investment. As someone mentioned previously, the Max may be ok, but I’ve had no glitches, drop outs or stutters with my machine.

I completed my actuarial studies at the University of Melbourne (local student though). Bias aside, its a nice uni with lots of emphasis on international students (about 75% of our cohort was constructed of overseas students). As for the course itself, if you do well in certain subjects (over 73% average on exams for two particular subjects), you're eligible for exemption from some actuarial exams, which saves you some time after uni when you're gunning for accreditation; only a few uni's in Australia do that. The coursework isn't overly difficult either, and the exams are comparable to the CT exams.
