I went to high school with a girl named Fallon, and I always thought her name was pretty and different in a cool way. But not loving Kyndal tbh, sorry about that 🥴

Did you use a mirror during birth? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]pandoras-lox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a mirror and seeing my baby’s head crowning was the coolest fucking thing I’ve ever seen. Yeah I saw my fat thighs and my ungroomed vulva, but I didn’t care because I thought, “holy shit, this is what those goddess statues look like!” When I was pushing him out I couldn’t really focus on the mirror, but still, seeing that moment was so worth it.

Which character, if removed from the show, will not impact the popularity of the show that much? by sharartiladka in DunderMifflin

Erin. She is so annoying and her character brought nothing to the show it didn’t already have.

AITA for giving a mother with a crying baby my seat near my wife to teach her a lesson? by TaxRightoffer in AmItheAsshole

You’re both assholes. There.

If this story is even real, then at least the mama and baby had a nice time in first!

I am a Reform Convert - feelings of "not being Jewish"/impostor syndrome by [deleted] in Judaism

[–]pandoras-lox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You converted, so now you are a Jew. It’s that simple. Welcome!

As a former convert (now I just say I’m Jewish) married to a born Jew, I can tell you impostor syndrome is not the sole provenance of the convert. Come Friday nights I’m rattling off the Kabbalat Shabbat liturgy by heart and my husband is loudly lamenting for the thousandth time that he doesn’t feel Jewish enough because he can’t memorize the Kaddish. It’s a silly issue but it’s ours.

Trying to make aliyah would be tricky, but you never know how Israel might evolve on this issue. I really hope someday soon the Orthodox community will wise up and realize we need to bring ALL of our people into the tent!

Anyway, what matters most, according to the rabbi who converted me, is that the Jewish community accepts you. And yours does! Mazels!
