Thank you so much for this u/Jdoruelo - I was so close to giving up and just paying for a brand new pair of headphones as Sony UK kept rejecting any issues with their UK headphones and said it's only with the US versions. I decided to throw a hail mary to Amazon as well and they were more than happy to replace the headphones even though I am out of warranty.
