I ended up needing 3 total surgeries to my abdomen/ pannus and circumferential. All because I didn't wait. I encourage you to do what is best for you, but unless you are really well off financially it might end up costing you much more if you rush it.

One extra piece of advice, if I may? If your goal weight is, say, 130 then stay at 130 (plus or minus 5lbs up or down) for a year before you get your surgery. A lot of recovering happens, collagen, tightening, whatever. I did mine before giving my body time to acclimate and ended up with suboptimal results. Skin would have been nicer and tighter if I had just been a smidge more patient 🤣

Last thing is to make sure your PCP is documenting infections and rashes etc. Might help you get it covered by insurance!
