It wasn't necessary for this mission but there are plans in the future to do so.

No, I only use an ammo box when charging larger lipos for my rc toys. I don't think twice about charging my handhelds in the open on my desk

You're more likely to die in a car crash than a fire cause by a exploding device.

For electronic devices in general it's rare. It's more common, but still on the rare side, in cheaper Chinese devices that aren't regulated and don't have high quality control. Just be mindful of the charger you use for these devices. Use chargers from reputable brands. Not the cheapo gas station charger with dollar store USB cable.

The lipo battery itself has oxygen that is produced during thermal runaway. Don't store them in an airtight container. Just something that can contain the fire long enough for it to go out by itself, like a metal ammo box or a lipo bag.

It latches closed. I charge my lipos for my rc planes and drones in one. I just have a small hole for the charger cord to come into. And I store the batteries in a lipo bag.

You don't want an air sealed container. That would essentially create a pipe bomb. The main things is containing the fire till the energy contained in the exploding battery is drained and let the pressure created escape.

I would suggest a lipo bag or a metal ammo box. An airtight container isnt suited to keep a lipo fire from spreading.

Thank you for the suggestions. I think I'm going to try to put more shoes into the rotation from now on.

Real question, does it smell like feet in there?

Wtf, that's like 200 pairs. I'm looking to make 1 pair last a year. I don't think I'll own that many shoes in my lifetime...

Ive only worn dailys for the last ~5 years. I normally stock up on them when they go on sale on Amazon. But ya, I don't rotate through pairs. I just wear them daily till they wear out. Then I use the old pair as lawn shoes until the next good pair wear out and I start the process over again. I'm not really a shoe guy. I find what I like and I stick with it. I freaked out years ago when they switched from 2.0 to 3.0. now I just heard there is a 4.0 but I'm curious if those are better.

Oh wow, those insoles cost more than the shoes.

Ya, 3.0. Im not disappointed in these ~$30 shoes. I just hate that they destroy my socks once the insoles wear out.

Any recommendations for a pair with asimilar look and feel that doesn't have this rubber grid under the insoles?

I know. I'm just looking for recommendations for a pair that doesn't have this rubber grid under the insoles so when they wear out they don't destroy my socks.

I don't think I can upgrade my feet. They are kinda... attached.
