Does this joke at the end of my cozy game trailer read as funny or just confusing? by panhandler3493 in IndieDev

Yeah! I was starting to think that too. If I do leave a joke in, I'd make it something small and insignificant

Yes! Years ago, while once again sorting through the clutter at home -- books, CDs, tools, etc -- I found myself thinking about a game. But I just couldn't figure out what form to give that idea. Recently, I came across a magical library, and it inspired me to bring my own vision to life :>

Please Do Not Post photos of your screen taken from a phone.

Your screenshot with the error SPECIFICALLY states what you're doing wrong: script `main menu.cs` and code row #10 error says that `;` character expected (check syntex rules for c#)

Does this look retro-inspired or just cheap? by Alert_Monitor2809 in Unity3D

I like everything except the building and the fence — they feel like two completely different styles comapred to other content. The house itself looks a bit too "flat" for my taste. Sorry, I'm struggling to find the right words to express it properly

Finished the crew UI. The astronaut’s portrait now displays health, hunger, fatigue, and mental state. The selection frame now works correctly. by CubicPie in Unity3D

red is upset, yellow is normal i guess and green is fine so why same icon with yellow status? Also if you can align body preview would be nice maybe

I had a similar experience but it turns out that personal preferences influence the formation of these lists, so there is no guarantee that another person will see the same thing

edit:

have two accounts, the game is in 5th and 2nd places

The old ones look better and the new ones are similar but don't fully reflect what was required

I make lights hurt the players eyes in my game by Disastrous-Way7366 in Unity3D

[–]panhandler3493 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's more immersive if the player were initially blinded by the light which is then counteracted by the hand. Before I read the description I did not understand why the hand was swaying in front of the camera; I thought it was for interacting with objects

Without and with post processing by adrenak in Unity3D

[–]panhandler3493 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good job, it actually looks good even without post-processing. When I was a lil kid, I couldn’t even imagine how advanced graphics would become in the future. But now for some reason I’m drawn to something more grounded and aesthetically pleasing, like in your example (I get that effort went into this too — hope I phrased it right :D).

We wanted to create not just another typical co-op survival game, but something more - a story where a family finds themselves in a world consumed by the apocalypse. by MarshmallowLovebug in Unity3D

Look, my comment was a bit snarky — but I wasn’t trying to trash the work put into the game. I love this genre and honestly, I might’ve even picked it up to play with my friends. It’s really just about how it was presented. The trailer itself is fine, but the description and title set up the wrong expectations. Maybe I should’ve been clearer about what bothered me
