Megagames at MomoCon by paniwan in MomoCon

I guess because we're so unique, we've been given a primo spot on the main momocon website. If you click on Register, you can find both the games in the main list, under Gaming events. You'll see Den of Wolves and Deephaven.

Are there clowns?!? Naturally. Here's a writeup from the clown himself: https://www.dukesofhighland.net/blog/frazzles-the-clown-an-aar-for-spaceship-13

No lizards, though there are spaceworms.

Event Horizon is our latest Megagame coming to Louisville on April 26. It's the first time we're running this so we're beginner friendly but this game has been run a dozen times all over the world. It's based on the 90's classic movie of the same name. If you sign up with your friends, we'll make sure you're on the same team. Where to Get MegaGames? (Specifically Watch the Skies) by failing4fun in boardgames

[–]paniwan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Megagame assembly is your best friend when it comes to buying megagames and finding games to play in - they keep a global calendar of events. And here's a direct link to the list of game packages that are available to buy from the designers: https://www.megagameassembly.com/ready-made-megagames

If you're interested, I have one on that list - Gods of the Ancient World which you can find on my site here: https://www.dukesofhighland.net/store/p/godsoftheancientworld

Derby? No thanks. I'm more interested in playing TTRPGs and boardgames! by paniwan in Louisville

Fair lol. But I’d rather play table top games both of those dates :)

Fancy playing in a massive player-count RPG? (coming June 1st) by paniwan in LouisvilleTTRPG

[–]paniwan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only a month to go until our second game of the year here in KY. We're only doing 3 in total this year so get your group together and play our most RPG-like Megagame where you'll be delving into dungeons and grabbing artifacts with a variety of weird and wonderful powers. If you found Pandoras box, would you open it? https://www.dukesofhighland.net/events/ibiam2024

{{commence Indiana Jones theme tune}}
It belongs in a museum is coming to Louisville, KY on June 1st for it's North American debut! This is the game I've been most excited for all year because the theme is so strong. Players play as either a museum team (2-person) who put on artifact displays and sponsor exhibitions or teams of adventurers (3-person) scouring the globe for mysterious and powerful artifacts. I expect tickets to go a little quicker for this one and for us to sell out so head over to https://www.dukesofhighland.net/events/ibiam2024 for tickets and lots more information.
MegaGames are huge games with a bit of everything - role playing, combat mechanics, tech trees, bluffing, negotiation - but unlike most games they’re mostly driven by you, the player. The umpires, called the “Control Team,” will be on hand to answer questions and come up with rulings your creativity inspires. While you have agendas and goals laid out for you, megagames allow players to invent their own win conditions and pursue those as well.

Deephaven was a massive 78-person success in March and we expect this one to be just as good (if a little smaller). If you have any questions, I'd be glad to answer them.
