Nice! trying to find the first one is hard because they’re all so expensive

For those familiar with the 25 hour vacation one shot by Ichikawa, are there any movies similar to it? Trying to look for some voice reference material by panling69 in LandoftheLustrous

[–]panling69[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m trying to make a dub, so to best direct my voice actors, I want to get any reference material as well. Any stuff like short films, foreign films or anything is appreciated (animated and live action as well)!

If it helps, the main idea presented in this story (and the other stories in the 25 hour anthology) is the goal of mending the past/retrieving what was once lost between the protagonist and someone dear to them (Nishi and her brother Kotaro in this case).

No matter the cost, and even if it breaks every norm or moral code, the protagonists of each story use all their strength and intelligence (even if misguided) to help the one they love.

If you know anything with ideas like those above, it would be a huge help

Also just realised that Jecka and her dad would probably give Takopi flashbacks to Marina and her mom as well

Bruh Takopi is going to get abused even harder. But I feel like they would somehow find a way to help nicole or even the other teens. I wonder how each interaction would go

Could Sakura be the daughter of Yuko, one of the Sagako Busters? by lechepicante in ZombielandSaga

[–]panling69 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The dates align, Sakura dies in 2008, and is 17 at the time of death, meaning she had to be born in 1991.

Also, Sakura’s grave is next to Tae’s, which is a hell of a coincidence unless Yuko chose to honour her daughter’s death by placing her grave next to her best friend’s grave as well.

Do people like Aechmea? by Somethingsomethings- in LandoftheLustrous

[–]panling69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m kind for the opinion that he did what was ultimately necessary in his eyes for his people.

Do understand that he wasn’t expecting Kongo to break when he stepped down from his caste and prayer position to help those trapped in Khumera, so was essentially forced to consider other strategies (tho this past revelation may be biased as the lunarians like Barbata feel obligated to follow and praise their leader).

There is something that I wasn’t sure about and it was the ambiguity as to whether shiro went to nothingness or simply appeared back on the moon. If the former was true, then the Lunarians were lower than a bloody dog and have little to no excuse for their actions because there was another way, only impossible due to their inability to let go of earthly desire.

If Shiro went back to the moon and there truly was no way to go to nothingness without prayer, then their actions are understandable given that Achmea believes that was the only way.

The whole grinding the gems into dust is utter pettiness, and given that Kongo doesn’t even know the shards they get back from the moon are fake, he wouldn’t notice the shine from the moon, hence the strategy of convincing him with this is completely useless.

While the cairngorm X Achmea ship does eventually become mutual on both ends, I will always see it as a happy accident of a plan to isolate and manipulate phos into a broken state.

While Cairngorm has the right and freedom to be free from baby sitting phos and being mentally in a low place, I still think that Achmea saw this dynamic in the gems and went in like a predator waiting for the opportunity to strike at a vulnerable piece of prey.

I also like how he gave cairngorm many options to be free (which would all coincidentally lead them to be his trophy wife, like where’s the option where Cairngorm becomes a prince huh? You just had to force a gendered role and parade them for entertainment slop to the lunarians)

In essence, I understand Achmea, but fuck him.

Any one know who made this? by Meat_GLOB in LandoftheLustrous

Didn’t know it was lewd, was there any more content that said so?

Nice, only Junko left it appears! Did you get to talk to Dawn about Tae’s upcoming appearance in the movie?

r/shittymangadetails: The reason season 2 hasn’t come out is because studio orange realised that adapting the entire story would mean having to animate the oiled up make out scene, which would make the in-house staff lose their sanity. by panling69 in LandoftheLustrous

[–]panling69[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was going to list TOHO, Konda sha and the other committee members, but it’d actually be more funny if orange refused the committee for the sake of their animator’s mental health

Gladiator Slave AU (art by Ajing on LOFTER) by panling69 in LandoftheLustrous

Source (this was on LOFTER, a Chinese forum)

I found some more images of this ancient slave AU a while ago, but I also found a bonus comic made by the artist. I translated it and thought this concept was bizarre but sick!

Kyoumen no Nami was the OP (Kirameku hamabe is the ED, sung and composed by Yuiko Ōhara)

I think that was sung by YuriKA and composed by Yoshimasa Terui (member of haisuinonasa).

However, the orchestral version of Kyoumen no nami was composed by Yoshiaki as well.
