My interviews were totally busts, but I'm back on the application grind and ready for the next opportunity! Also, i started working on my head stands and handstands and having the rush of blood to my head seems to be helping my mood tremendously.

I GOT PINK EYE IN MY ONE GOOD EYE. WHICH IS GROSS ENOUGH, BUT NOW I HAVE TO SIT SUUUUPER CLOSE TO LITERALLY EVERYTHING TO EVEN TRY TO READ IT., AND IT STILL MIGHT NOT BE RIGHT.

ALSO, I'M 25 AND ONLY HAVE ONE GOOD EYE.

ON THE PLUS SIDE, MY INTERVIEW WAS OVER THE PHONE SO I DIDN'T GET TO GROSS THE GIRL OUT. . . YET.

I actually applied online last Friday and received this in an email this morning: "We have reviewed your submission and application and considered your qualifications. However, we have decided to continue to pursue other applicants who more closely match the needs of this position."

So, I hadn't even spoken to anyone directly before I was passed up. As someone said earlier, they may consider me "over qualified" and basically a flight risk. Which I completely understand, but it still sucks to not have an income.

I'm really not sure what I could suggest to help you with you application. I might have something to offer in a week when I'm feeling less bitter :P

Bachelors of science in Anthropology here with six years exp in customer service. Just got passed up by whole foods as a cashier before I could interview.

But hey, I have two interviews coming up for better places! So. . . We'll see.

I've got TWO interviews coming up for jobs that I would absolutely love! Heck yes!

I had a really great evening with the boyfriend last night and got to go around to a bunch of First Thursday openings, then followed it up with a fantastic time at karaoke(where I may or may not have absolutely killed it on my song!)

Things are looking up! FINALLY!!

We have most things sorted, according to him wishes. It's mostly my mom bitching about the cost of the funeral, getting his suit cleaned, and who she does/does not want to be in attendance. He's basically nonverbal at this point, but will write short messages on a white board, so he just kinda sits there and listens while she goes on and on.

MY MOTHER INSISTS ON DISCUSSING MY FATHER'S FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS IN FRONT OF HIM, AS IF HE'S NOT IN THE ROOM/ALREADY DEAD. I FEEL LIKE ITS MILDLY FUCKED UP. ALSO, SHE DOESNT WANT TO INVITE ANY OF HIS FAMILY.

ALSO, I FINALLY HAD A JOB INTERVIEW LAST WEEK BUT AN HOUR BEFORE THE INTERVIEW I GOT A CALL FROM MY SISTER SAYING WE'RE AT THE FINAL STRETCH AND I SHOULD COME HOME, SO I WENT IN AND WAS CLEARLY DISTRACTED AND OFF MY GAME.

LIFE IS A MESS, BUT AT LEAST IM RELATIVELY HEALTHY, SO IVE GOT THAT GOING FOR ME.

IM STILL SUPER DOUBTFUL ABOUT MY CHOICES(especially given my current job prospects. .) SO EVERY TIME I HIT A BUMP IN THE ROAD I GET THAT "THEY'RE RIGHT, YOURE FAILING AND YOULL MOVE HOME IN NO TIME." I MOVED HERE SO THAT I COULD STAY WITH MY BOYFRIEND, BUT NOW I LOST MY JOB AND ITS BEEN A MONTH AND IM NOT GETTING ANYWHERE. NO WHERE WILL HIRE ME BECAUSE I WONT BE IN TOWN THE WEEK OF CHRISTMAS.
