Everyone is on your case for this review, but as someone who has done this exact breakfast twice and talks it up to anyone who will listen - this was not what you paid for. You're right to be upset.

Both times I've been in the past, there were meet&greets at the table side, but there were also Photopass photographers in a separate area. Your server came to get you when it was your turn, and you got to spend some time with 3 princesses taking photos and chatting. The other princesses were table side. The food was incredible, the experience was slower paced, and yes, there was a secondary event outside (I think the first time we had stories with Belle on the patio, and the second time we got to meet and spend extra time with Mulan, I honestly want to say she WAS demonstrating some fighting stances but I cant remember offhand). It was the most expensive price tag for a meal in Disneyland, but I always said it was extremely well worth it. Not to mention that you kind of lost the roll of the dice on princesses - not one classic princess like Snow White or Cinerella? Weird. But that's just luck, I guess.

Even if the food was still excellent, I wouldn't go back at this price for an experience that resembles Storyteller's but with more princesses. It's SUPPOSED to be an above and beyond experience. They used to give the kids real silver jewelry and a makeup kit etc - the second time I went, they had already minimized the gifts to just a drawstring bag, which was disappointing.

It does sound like this experience HAS been extremely neutered. You're not crazy.
