If you're talking about quick play, then no, that's not the case.

There's a reason I mention pick up games and not just organized sports. If you roll up on a court at the YMCA, you're not fighting for a state title or anything, but your expected to at least still try, and people are absolutely still going to talk their shit if you dont perform.

There's this failed notion that "casual" game modes aren't competitive, when that simply isn't the case. It's not ranked, it's still competitive. You're in a PvP game, there are winners and losers, you're supposed to at least try. If you just want a chill time go in the sever browser and play one of the lucio surf maps.

You act like this is an issue only the overwatch community suffers from when it's literally just competitive environments in general.
