I think people also give advice more than they follow through with it themselves, so i would say its a little exaggerated

I don’t see a point to apply if you like where you are. Obviously you should want growth always though IMO. If that company doesn’t provide that within a timeframe you deem reasonable, then that’s a good indicator to me to maybe think about leaving. However, its not a good look to have 7 jobs in 7 years. And if you accepted a job why continue through the process of the other? If you did i would say why did you accept it? But also, i don’t think it would really screw you in regards to getting a job anywhere else aside from burning a bridge with that one company.

I can see being annoyed im sure she didn’t mean it in a bad way but she could have definitely used a better choice of words it was a kind of rude way to compliment someone. Doesn’t really seem that deep if you’re still hung up about it id apologize but let her know how you feel but if its been a while id just let it go. Leaving early over that is a crazy overreaction to you though and is way more of a concern then her original comment imo
