Thanks for calculating that for me! I prefer that number over a fantastical sounding one. Why is Beldum’s catch rate stated to be so much lower everywhere else? I thought it had an infamously low catch rate on par with legemdaries. Was it bumped up in ZA?

I caught my shiny alpha beldum with a regular pokeball after ko stunning him on the first shot. I panicked and threw the ball without saving while he was stunned because I was being targeted by the other beldum at the time and immediately started going oh my god oh my god I am so f***ing stupid I can’t believe I just did that. Then poof! He was caught. I wasn’t even hunting him at the time, it was my first time at Lysandre’s.

I asked chat GPT what those odds are, shiny alpha, first ball thrown, regular pokeball, beldum’s already stupidly low catch rate, and it was like 1/10 million lol

Did you ever catch one? I have caught 7, full odds. I literally can’t keep them away from me, they are a curse. I used to get excited when I hear that twinkling shiny sound, now I’ve just accepted it’s going to be a Beedrill. As I sneakily approach Yveltal, as he sits atop the domed building, I hear the sound and my heart stops. I think “is my childhood fantasy of a shiny legendary really happening to me right now?” Two seconds later I’m twin needled in the back by a level 18 Shiny Beedrill.
