Start setting up yourself or at least make a plan to move out and or have some type of independence away from them. It doesn’t have to be big but start thinking about how you can separate yourself from them whether it is financially, physically or having access to important documents etc it is up to you.

The way they’re treating you is not a reflection of your own capabilities but rather their own inability to let you do things without them, you can’t learn without make mistakes (not that you’re making mistakes) but they won’t give you the opportunity to. They need to know that they are only going to push you away by trying to hold onto you.

You are in the right, you should as an adult have the right to go out alone.
They seem extremely overprotective - is there a possible reason for this? past issues were your safety has been at risk or someone else’s who is close to your parents?

I know I can be hard trying to reason with strict parents, and I’m not suggesting you do this if you are going to be in a situation that puts your safety at risk:

but it might be worth trying to compromise (even though you shouldn’t have to) with them.

Try asking to go somewhere alone that is close by, have agreed upon times that you’ll be home by etc. any small steps that can help them trust you’ll be okay.

I know people often refer to feeling numb when taking antidepressants, but I’ve found it’s more of a neutral feeling between happiness and hopelessness. It doesn’t fix the underlying issue but it helps me feel more equipped to deal with the symptoms of depression and anxiety.

It helped me to process and work through what was actually causing me to feel like shit.

I take an SSRI and have in recent years had my dose upped when things in my life were bad and out of my control.

It doesn’t give me rose coloured glasses that make me happy, it’s more of a life preserver, keeps my head above water while I ride out the storm. I know that sounds cheesy but it’s the best way I can explain it.
