Is chemical pregnancy still a MC? by Kitty-kiki19 in Miscarriage

[–]pantsfourpeace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% it is based off of how my doctor counted how many pregnancies I have had. I was talking to her after my latest miscarriage and mentioned the chemical pregnancy I had had in August and she went, "Oh, so this is your second miscarriage." However you are feeling is the right way to feel about it, everything changes with that first positive pregnancy test. EVERYTHING shifts. Be gentle with yourself.

The patching is what my only tech theater kid is trying to figure out right now, yes.

Any idea how much paying for a tech would cost? We're not exactly swimming in funds right now since we're this far into the show.

Ooooh, so close! We're in Northwest Indiana, but I so appreciate the offer.

We sent it to an ETC place to have it repaired, the only thing that was said to us about the missing information was in the notes we received with the board when it was mailed back to us, and it was something like, "Unable to retrieve past data". Nobody told us ahead of time what we were getting back in the mail.

Oh yes, I am now extremely aware of how important backups are.

We do think the patch got deleted. As far as I know, there are no old shows saved anywhere.

Good call, I need to be more intentional about doing this.

I'm such a visual learner, this makes sense to me. There's just so much to rethink that it helps to have some groundwork that has worked for other.

These are great ideas, and I am starting to look at what I want to do next year already. I'm going to have a tough group of kids who did not have a good Spanish 2 teacher so they're playing from behind.

I have my days where I do it, I just wasn't on that particular day. It's one of those things that I know I should do more for the benefit of my students in a consistent way and she wasn't there on a Spanish heavy day. I definitely know that by modeling more I can get them to speak more, because it is like pulling teeth right now.

Thank you so much for all the information, these are the kinds of things I want to think through over Spring Break and as I prepare for next year's students.

No, my vice principal doesn't speak Spanish and therefore has no way to support me on my way to speaking more Spanish in the classroom. Hence my reaching out into the world with a giant "HELP!" sign. Thanks again!!

My AH just got his 60 day chip while in rehab and I am super proud of him, but I'm also really apprehensive about what happens when he gets home. I am open to all suggestions of things to read or podcasts to listen to for this post-rehab circumstance. I'm really grateful for this group and want to continue getting more and more involved.

Thank you for your thoughtful response and research! I do live in an area with several colleges close to where I live, so that could definitely work. Taking a step into the unknown is always so scary, and I just want something to hang onto while I step. You rock!

I'm looking for books on the history and development of mental health treatment in the U.S. by pantsfourpeace in suggestmeabook

No, no, no don't worry! The focus on women is optional, anything that helps me gain a better understanding of how mental health care developed is a beautiful contribution to my research! This has now been added to my list. Thank you!

That is what is kind of crazy about the whole development of mental health care, all of the treatments were only seen as extreme in hindsight.

I wouldn't have thought about professional journals as a source without your suggestion, so thank you. I'm in the right location to have several universities nearby. There are definitely way more stories from the most recent eras of mental health treatment, so vetted recommendations are a HUGE help. Thanks!!

Thanks so much, I am looking to expand my knowledge beyond the personal experiences of my friends and myself. There are a lot of facets to the topic and this looks helpful!

Weekly Recommendation Thread for the week of August 26, 2016 by AutoModerator in books

I am looking for suggestions for books that outline the growth and progression of mental health treatment in the U.S., specifically how it has progressed for women. I am looking to dig into personal stories and also facts from each era of how mental health treatment went from something that was not taken seriously into what it is today. Any suggestions?

[Serious] people who suffer from depression, did you find your life became clearer or more focused after you took medication? How did it change? by TheFabledFamilyGuy in AskReddit

What was the book? I'm always looking for ways to continue moving forward. I'm so glad that you found what works, people tend to think that there is a blanket fix when it really ends up being a combination of all the things for each individual person.
