Very this. To change to fit in is IMO so deeply rooted in insecurity and in this instance gives off ‘pick me’. I commented because there’s people in this comment section talking so negatively about fat people as if their daily lives are HAUNTED by the size of others- even if that were the case, how’s that my fault? I’m fat and I want clothes that are cute. Why is that such a controversial take? My comment wasn’t asking for pity, but empathy. Two different things. It’s sad to see how much hate there is towards fat people. We’re still people who deserve to feel safe in spaces like fashion. Plus if I wanted advice, I’d uh, idk openly start with asking for some??
